The museum is easy to maneuver through and it was a busy day. Their displays are thoughtful and informative. Leave at least an hour and half if you like the history. The museum has a junior ranger program and I even saw some adults participating. The movie is a great kickoff before you enter so you have an understanding of the battle that took place.

I stopped here and it is one of the newest of our national historic battlefield sites. For a new park the displays they set up are very good. Lots of civil war artifacts. From quite a few weapons. They have a number of displays of things like yents barracks, doctors, and the fence battle. The rangers were great in helping me with questions.

We visited from over 3 hours away and would recommend to everyone to visit this site. Make sure you do the driving tour, they have maps and information in the museum. It was very informative and honestly was one of the nicest battlefield sites and museums we've been to.

Interesting little monument devoted to a United States victory over the Confederate States, due to a Southern general's blunder.
