Hilltop Fun Center — Attraction in Somersworth

Great place to go, had some issues with their memberships, but it was resolved and the owner was very easy to deal with.

Fun place, pricing is a little bit high, but overall good experience. They have several tracks for go-karts; including a small one for children, which was great. The mini golf was nice, and takes a good amount of time up. Laser tag was awesome, everyone had fun there. Their food is not bad. The arcade gets a bit hectic at times, but that's pretty much the way it always is at most of these kind of places. I will add to the review as we try some of the other areas.

Update: So I signed up with four memberships for my family and tried to cancel on the phone, but they told me I would need to go in person. I then went in and tried to cancel, and the manager would not let me cancel in person, and said the only way to do it was online even though they're online system would not allow me to log in. Instead I had to go through a bunch of loopholes using their third party online system, which caused me to be charged for an entire new month of 4 memberships that I had no plans on using. If they told me it would not be easy to cancel a membership, I would have never signed up in the first place. They should not set up an account that makes it so difficult for someone to cancel in person, since I was so easily able to sign up and pay my money in person.

Update #2: while most of the response from the owner or manager was respectful, I do feel that I was blamed for the problem I had, as if it was simply my mistake or my lack of reading the terms. I've worked in IT since 1994, I know a bit about computers, and especially websites. This was not user error, nor was it lack of reading the terms. When I got the email in the first place, I did try to set up an online account, and was told that I had to call the office for a code. I called the office, and nobody knew what I was talking about. I tried this a few times and eventually gave up because we were planning on keeping the membership at that point when we signed up.. Then, after half of the people not even knowing how to process the membership whenever we got there, nor even understanding what a membership was, and failing to either enter the credits for the rides, or the arcade, not to mention the fact that we waited in line several times to go on the go-karts, and every single time they didn't actually put the credit on the card so we had to go in and wait in line again. This happened on a few occasions, it doesn't even appear many of their employees know how to set this up or credit the membership card for a game or ride. A group of us came into this establishment this evening after coming here for decades to play mini golf. First off they were not serving any alcoholic beverages or snacks at this time. The water on the course was off and all the water was green and stagnant that was present.

As we were walking out at approximately 8:00 when they closed, we thanked the 3 workers standing at the desk. The 2 females were quite pleasant and said to have a great night. The young male on the other hand said and I quote “never come back”. For no reason and completely unnecessary in our opinions. We were respectful adults the entire duration of the visit and were taken aback by this comment.

We felt completely disrespected as paying customers. This place has gone downhill in the last 15 years and it’s obvious as to why. We paid and we would’ve bought drinks and snacks. We were disappointed to see the course in such conditions. Then to top it all off with a comment like that from an employee when we were nothing, but respectful is absurd. I hope something is done to resolve this horrible situation at your company. Or I don’t envision this place in business...

My kids absolutely love this place but I only go there for them. The go-karts are a big hit and the laser tag is as well. We usually play round of mini golf and it's a beautiful golf course honestly. One thing I was disappointed about is that I did not realize that the day pass would have been cheaper than adding up all of the things we did and we could have spent half as much if somebody had explained the option to us and ask a couple of questions to help us understand that when we arrived. At the point I realized I could have had a day that was half as expensive, It definitely dampened my mood for the rest of our visit.
