Speed of Sound Audio Experts — Local services in Somersworth

Do not go there. We bought around $1000.00 worth of Focal equipment for my son's 1965 Ford Mustang restoration project. I asked the owner if he minded if we installed the equipment ourselves since it was a father and son project, he said he didn't mind. Believe me he minded! A real Jekyll& Hyde. When we got home I opened the box to look at the speakers and noticed that one of the wires was pulled out of the tweeter. The minute I called them I was met with attitude. He said, with a pissy attitude, that's why I should have done the install! That he would try and fix it himself. We just spent $260.00 on speakers he would "try" to fix himself. I was not happy with having a repair done on a brand new set of Focal speakers ,but whatever, because he was the only game in town so I just tried to keep the peace. On my way to his shop with faulty speakers I called and asked how much to install a Drone mobile device, $500. I told that when I got to his shop I would schedule the DM install for the following week. When I got to the store I was again subjected to his attitude. He told me flat out that I damaged the speaker, it's not possible it came that way. So he flat out called me a liar. Once you do that I'm done with you. I told him I should have bought my equipment from Best Buy or Crutchfield because they most certainly wouldn't have called me a liar and would have simply replaced the item. I have a friend who installs his own equipment and he stated the he has returned items to Crutchfield with no questions asked. I spoke to other people who have issues with him in the past. In addition he has been in 8 different locations. So what does that tell you. Friends recommend Capitol Audio in Epsom and they are getting all my work, 2 Drone Mobile installations and a complete install of equipment in my son's 1965 Mustang for roughly a total of $2200.00. I know Capitol Audio is a little out of the way for us on the seacoast but they are extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Capitol Audio has already installed the first DM and next project is the stereo installation on my sons 65 Mustang. In the end l told the owner that I was done with him and will eat the cost of the speakers and left them there. So he made money on the deal. He has my $260.00 and now he can return the speakers to Crutchfield and pocket another $260.00 or a free set of speakers. Maybe he's a good business...

SO happy I found Audio Experts! This place proved the BEST when it comes to Price, Quality, Knowledge, Attention to Detail and putting the best interest of the CUSTOMER FIRST!

I decided to upgrade my sound system for the 3rd time in several years and had a high bar set for how I wanted it to sound and needed to find a trustworthy place that would give the time and attention to get it right.

After stopping into nearly every installer from Nashua to the seacoast I was beyond disappointed and had nearly given up. Audio Experts was last on my list so I checked them out. The 6x9's I had installed from the last place were giving me a headache and without asking how much work I was looking to get done, or what my budget was, the guys at Audio Experts took time out of their day to take my car into the shop and tweak my system so I could at least listen to music without pain. I asked how much and the manager said ' No Charge'.

Since then I have been back a few times for new items, each time getting a TOP NOTCH experience. From getting a discount on their already low prices, their installer fixing a crack in my interior door without being asked, or their Manager, Dan, having the patience and commitment to demo different speaker setups for over half an hour without rushing me and waiting until I was completely satisfied. I now have a KILLER setup in my car that's PERFECT. Audio Experts, you guys exceeded my highest...

Absolutely waste of time, I didn't know setting up Dash cams took all day? Dropped my car off at 10 with appointment called at 2 to see if it was finished and they hadn't even started he said it would be ready at 5. They did NOT tell me a time frame at all or I wouldn't have dropped of my car so early and waited around for absolutely nothing. Maybe tell the customers how long it will take for it to be done not "I'll call you when it's done" very unprofessional happy I didn't spend my money here.

Edit I wasn't waiting around town I live in somersworth lol 😆 not once did I say it was on my time frame please don't put words into my mouth, I called and you answered very rudely and said "it'll be done when it's done" so I got my car and else where will get my business best of luck appreciate you wasting my time! Learn how to do business no wonder why everyone in that place was mad place is a joke ahaahahaha only a matter of time till they go under... trying to blame the customers comical 😂✌️ Shop around there's cheaper installs then this clown show

Edit: 2/07/2023 Audiobarn in Exeter installs dash cams 100$-150$ cheaper and took 1 hour and a half highly reccomend have had the cameras since November highly recommend for Quality service and work! not this place avoid at all cost.
