Old Sonora Ice House Ranch Museum — Attraction in Sonora

Wonderfully curated museum showcasing Sutton County history. Chock-full of surprising old treasures, most of which feel like they were donated by local families. Everything is thoughtfully arranged. The management takes pride in their work and it shows. The docent, Jenny, is warm and uncommonly knowledgeable -- and when she didn't know the answer to one of our questions, she called up her friend to find out! Superb little museum in Sonora ❤️! Well fell upon this place after a trip to the caverns of Sonora, and boy were we glad to have stumbled!!! The curator here, was amazing and immence sort of information! We actually had our own private tour of the museum and it was so very interesting! I am so glad we stumbled upon this place and when we return next year, we will most definitely be back! Please, if you are in the area, do not miss the opportunity to visit this truly...

EXCELLENT PLACE! MUST STOP HERE if you are traveling near Sonora! Amazing history in this town and the Ice House Ranch Museum is full of information and interesting finds! Take the tour of the old jail too if you get a chance! Jenny is an amazing tour guide and was so kind to answer all my questions. Highly recommend!
