Super cute little museum with a nice selection of books and a few local artist postcards and such. Check out the local history curated and displayed so it’s a feast for the eyes. The oyster plates are something else. This place is only open a few hours a day and staffed with local volunteers who are very nice and happy to chat. It’s a really nice place to stop to take pics and gather knowledge about the history and culture of a small town not yet touched by big box stores and strip mall outlets. A rarity these days. Stop by on your way in and out when going to the coast or on a road trip and you’ll be sure to see something new there is so much in the museum. It’s free but nice to give a donation as you leave. Read moreVisited during our quick stop in South Bend on our way down from Alaska, the older gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice and seemed very happy to see us enter. I wish I had caught his name to properly recognize him, but he made our experience even better, spent more time talking to him than actually walking through the museum itself. He knew a whole lot about the area and other places he thought we would appreciate seeing on our way down into southern Oregon. I would go back if we had the time just to chat...
