Very large like a concert hall ,didn't look like a church inside .Its dark inside like a theater or attending a show . VERY LOUD sound system ,ear plugs are offered .There isnt a cross on the stage it is not set up like a church alter .Not a negative mind you ,just different. The Lords Prayer is not said all together at all during service however there are, other many positives! Extremely friendly .You were greeted by parking attendants when parking in visitor parking . Greeters in church talk and try connect immediately .People were engaging and friendly upon exitng service as well Alot of local community and mission work . A nice mix of ages ,and appears to have a strong youth program which is needed for survival and growth of a church and to keep the youth engaged in Christ . Pastor Joe greets and talks with congregation at end of service .He is very engaging ,and Down to Earth .Very relatable and using present day experiences and situations to his sermons. The church staff does not have alot of intertwined staff with families working there as others we have visited . Beach Church also does not begin with beginning service asking for money and lecturing on tithing repetively at every service as others we visited. There are many ministries one can be involved with and participate in this church . A few questions I have? Why is there not a cross on stage ? Also as we have been looking for a new home church in different faiths and non denomination; why do the non denominational do not say the LORDS PRAYER ? This prayer unites us as Christians unified .That is a question that perplexes me while visiting and looking for a new home church in the Myrtle Beach area . I guess I'm considered OLD FASHIONED or one would state TRADTIONAL,( Don't know what one would describe it ) but I stand by my statement that the Lords Prayer should be said in any Christian service .That prayer was given to us by God himself . We visited 3 times the Fall of 2024 due to becoming disillusioned, and the nonforthrightness of attending a past church that had much national controversy since April 2024 . We were blindsided by dishonesty, and now my husband and I are so hesitant and leary of nondemnominational churches .Do you have to do a personal background check background on a churches , employees ,Pastors ? My husband and I were cradle Catholics and attended Methodist until the LGBT stance was allowing LGBT ministers and marriages. We then attended 2 other non denominational churches .One was a untrained Sr. Pastor who was a previous entertainer without any formal education in clergy .We then attended the now defunct church .I feel stupid that we were bamboozled and participated in that church ! We have visited so many churches this past yearand attend services 3 times at each to see if this is " The One" Does anyone else church shop? After our experience this year past year. We have become spiritually empty ,hesitant, suspicious and leary of nondenominations . We conclude that Beach Church is different but have not made a decision yet at present . If you have a set of BULLET POINTS you are in search of many...
ย ย ย Read moreI have had the pleasure of being part of this church for over 16 years now, it's as fresh as it was all those years ago. I love how real they teach, it's so nice to be able to actually relate to the story and how it applies today. I also love their commitment to people. Being willing to meet people in the uncomfortable places of their lives and walk with them. I have never felt judged at church but I have felt loved. This is the first church I have seen that addresses people with different needs in a special needs ministry. Serving the families and their family member and help navigate that area. I have also had the pleasure of being a part of that ministry for 6 years now and have loved every minute, I know I am a better parent today. . Also seeing their commitment to this area with other projects like the Joy Prom and Parents night out.As a parent the kids ministry is truly remarkable, seeing kids being taught the bible on their level so they can get it, is just brilliant, both my kids were raised there. I love being part of a...
ย ย ย Read moreMy family has been going to beach church for a very long time. We continued after pastor Todd Elliot was removed, although we heavily disagreed with the decision of the "elders". I have never attended church and left unhappy, or in disapproval as I have since the new pastor started. I find his depiction of the Bible and the stories he shares to be disingenuous and construed. We like to have our children sit with us and find his delivery to be inappropriate and vile. We will be moving to a new church, and we are not happy to be doing so. My mom brought me to this church as a young teenager, and now I bring my children. I've always felt a connection with this church, and it pains us to leave. I only share this because I feel it's necessary for the church to...
