River Bend Community Park — Attraction in South Elgin

This park is big and spacious, totalling 50 acres. A mile long bike path circles the entire park, there's a pond at the bottom of the big hill, beautiful landscapes of the nearby forest, a dog park, skate park, playground, shelter, baseball field, basketball hoop, and large open spaces for throwing the ball around or flying a kite. I'm proud to live in the nearby neighborhood.

Very nicely scaped no remnants of the old correctional facility; good for walking, yoga, meditation, hiking, basketball, baseball/softball, biking, jogging, skateboarding, dog walking, tennis, and just simply relaxing! I walk here almost every weekday. Lovely area. I actually grew up in this neighborhood, so coming back to have a place for my son to play now is a wonderful thing. The walk path is about a mile around, theres a skate park ball court playground baseball diamonds and dog park. Plenty of...
