Last weekend I had a friend who proposed to his partner, with the help from Tammy and The Lady Bea, who held signs up for him while on one of the tours. It was extremely momentous, everyone was shared the same excitement as the newly engaged couple. We parked at Marina, as other family members dock boats there.
After some celebration, my cousin went back to Marina to simply thank Tammy for her help/involvement in this MASSIVE moment for him. Every single staff member that he encountered gave such weird and rude responses to the simplest question: “where’s Tammy so I can thank her for some help”. He probably asked 6 different staff members, everyone single person that he approached looked at him as if he had 8 heads and either refused to tell him where Tammy was or offered an extremely passive aggressive and rude responses like “if you saw her on the boat than she’s on the boat”…
When realizing he was getting nowhere with the staff, he explained why and simply asked if they could relay the message for him and again they all looked at him like he was crazy and one even said “I don’t want to move right now” and then literally moved back in the direction of the restaurant legit seconds after we turned around. It was so extreme that I felt second hand frustration and annoyance. Thankfully, we aren’t the type to let real deal ugliness sour a truly special time.
I’m only giving this place a 1 star because I couldn’t give them 0. If the 1 star goes to anyone, it’s for Tammy at The Lady Bea and in case the message never got to you; THANK YOU A MILLION!! YOU ARE/WERE AWESOME!
Everyone else can… well, ya know…
I would caution anyone who plans to park, doc or even eat here not to do so unless you like your fun and meal with a side of strange prejudice behavior from very tone deaf staff.
If 6 staff carried themselves that way, there’s no doubt they all do.
Personally, I’ll never come here again or support in anyway, I even want my $20 back for parking because they don’t even deserve that from me or anyone else for that matter.
Thanks for nothing, ...
Read moreTerrible first experience at there new dockside Restaurant . We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and were very excited to try this restaurant out after reading the reviews. Sadly, after trying the food and drinks we were very disappointed. I got the brand new island punch and the strawberry margarita while my fiancé got a Moscow mule and a Bermuda 100. All of our drinks were terribly made. Lack of flavor and just straight liquor. We then had some crab cake appetizers which were really good. For entrees I had one of the specials, a creamy scallop pasta entree but replaced the scallops with shrimp while my fiancé got the spicy chicken Cajun pasta. Both entrees were tasteless and flavorless. I never had pasta that tasted that poor before. I make better pasta and I am not a cook. The pasta entrees tasted like clean pasta with a light tasteless sauce, no flavor at all. Sad part about the experience is that the chef refunded only 50% of my meal. My fiancé decided to eat the rest of his meal and we drank the rest of our drinks as well out of respect. I was shocked at the fact that I only got 50% off of my meal because if I knew I was going to pay $10 for a meal I took one bite of I would of rather gotten an appetizer to replace it. Very upset and unsatisfied that we paid $70 plus on a meal we didn’t enjoy one bit of. I never went to a restaurant that didn’t refund me my meal after I took only a bite of it. Save your money and time and don’t go there. This was my first Sunday off after working 40+ hours as a RN all week and I am truly upset that I wasted my beautiful afternoon and money...
Read moreMy husband, 3 year old and I went to this location after visiting Old Saybrook beach and we were so happy we did! My husband finally got to see one of his bucket list items which is seeing the Connecticut river going into the Atlantic Ocean! We also got to get extremely close to a lighthouse that way right down the street from the Marina. Absolutely breathtaking views and it was awesome to see everyone on Sailboats. Next time we go we wanna rent a boat for sure! Also there is a hotel that is one of the fanciest hotels I've ever seen and I only had to use the bathroom and they were extremely courteous and friendly and it was amazing seeing all the artwork and amazing rooms as a paced the hallways...
