Billed as one of their childrenâs summer Fairy-Tale musicals ( and after experiencing their production of Million Dollar Quartet) we thought bringing our grandkids to the production of Beauty and the Beast would be a delightful experience for all. With no background scenery( just a black curtain) , no props except a bench and a few flowers, sparse dialogue and songs that were clearly not geared to children , this production was an absolute failure. Children were talking and whining loudly throughout this tedious play. The performances by the cast were fine but the material and staging were CLEARLY not chosen with children in mind.
We have already purchased tickets to Theater by the Seaâs Aladdin production next week so we could bring another group of our grandchildren. If that play is as badly produced for children as this one today, instead of the fun morning we anticipate, I am ...
Read moreHad a very pitiful experience today at sound of music 2pm. I received a serious foot injury Thursday and Asked Bob the upper level parking attendent if I could park in that lot. Yes spaces available he shouted at me to go get a disability certificate. Perhaps he is not well schooled but short term injuries do not quality for a placard. He screamed move on while waving his parking tool. Anyone in the extended lot as well as patrons could clearly see the extreme difficulty walking through the grass lot. What a abominable look this has given this theatre of which I have been a patron for probably 30 yrs. After this experience I will not likely ever return being treated with complete disrespect. I certainly hope Bill Haney had the opportunity to read this review and take action on This...

Before or after a show you literally can go walking on the beach which is less than 5 minutes away by car. They always put on great shows and performances which you can get updates on their website. They offer discounted seasonal passes in advance. It's now air conditioned and it's also nice and a cooler day with the fans going. You can just feel the energy being down by the ocean. Beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor bar, sitting areas and clean restrooms. A bonus is the Cabaret for after the show In which sometimes you can meet the performers. They have ample parking and it's extremely organized with people in bright vests and light wands to help guide you to your...
