The Cascade Falls Trail is a must-visit for anyone who loves hiking and wants to experience the beauty of nature. This trail, located in the Emerald Bay State Park in Tahoe, offers stunning views of towering trees, wildflowers, and of course, the beautiful Cascade Falls.

The hike itself is moderate in difficulty and is perfect for anyone looking to get some exercise and enjoy the great outdoors. The trail is well-maintained and offers plenty of opportunities to take in the stunning views of the surrounding area.

When you reach Cascade Falls, you'll be absolutely blown away by the beauty of the waterfall. The sight of the water cascading down the rocks is truly awe-inspiring and makes for the perfect spot to sit and take a break.

One thing to note is that the trail can get quite crowded, especially on weekends, so it's best to plan your visit accordingly. Also, the trail can get a bit slippery, so be sure to wear good shoes and exercise caution.

Overall, the Cascade Falls Trail is a must-visit if you're in the area. It's a beautiful hike that offers stunning views and the opportunity to witness the power and beauty of nature firsthand. Just be prepared for a moderate hike and some crowds, and you're sure to have an...

The hike to Cascade Waterfalls was a delightful experience from start to finish. The trail took around 40 minutes each way, offering just the right balance of challenge and enjoyment. Ample parking spots at the trailhead made the logistics easy, ensuring a smooth start to the adventure.

The path was a bit rocky, so having sturdy shoes is highly recommended to navigate the terrain comfortably and safely. However, the effort was more than worth it once we reached the waterfall. The view over Cascade Lake was simply breathtaking, a picturesque reward for the journey.

Upon reaching the top of the waterfall, we discovered charming small “lakes” where we could cool off and rejuvenate ourselves. This added touch of natural beauty enhanced the overall experience, allowing us to connect with nature and unwind in a serene setting.

Overall, the hike to Cascade Waterfalls was a memorable one, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, physical activity, and tranquility. I highly recommend this trail to anyone looking for a rewarding outdoor adventure amidst...

Nice hike, great views. Try not to slip and almost fall to your death like I did though 😂

Edit: Thought I should add a bit more detail about the falls/hike.

We visited in middle of September and there was parking available on the road, at the inspiration point and at the end of camp ground that leads to the trail. However by the time we got back from the hike it was all packed, so time your visit right.

Weather was great and there were kids and elderly people on the trail alike, so it's suited to all kinds of hikers.

Even thought there was a hailstorm in mountains the day before, the stream didn't have much water flowing. I suspect you can expect a bit more when snow starts to melt after winter.

You can continue your hike further past the falls, as we saw others returning, but didn't have the time to explore ourselves.

It's possible to get pretty close to the edge of the cliff, but as I've mentioned above, be extremely careful on any rocks that look even mildly wet. Some were not too obvious, which nearly came at great...

Beautiful moderate hike—just a little over 2 miles, roundtrip. I arrived about 7:30am, so I was able to find parking at the entrance and there was no other person on the trail with me. There were bear warning signs, so a little uncomfortable, in the beginning but I had a bear bell for the noise. The trail is pretty easy to find. It is rocky, once you leave the dirt area and lots of rocks. There’s a patch where there’s escalating over rocks, so you may need to pause to catch your breath. As you’re getting closer, you will hear the falls and once there, there are plenty of areas to sit by them and just observe and enjoy the views. Absolutely loved this little hike. Once I was leaving—a little after 9am, there were many people going to the falls and the trail back down, was a little over crowded. Once back at the parking lot, it was packed and no other parking available. So, go early!
