We went for a 12mile day hike with an elevation of 2726 ft through Granite Lake, Dick’s Lake, Velma Lake and Eagle lake.
It was a great starting point from Bayview trailhead, heading uphill towards the granite lake and Dick’s lake. The trail overall was well maintained but it is easy ti get off trail if not checking constantly on AllTrails. The pass toward the Dick’s lake has a snow covered peak and it was slippery as they’re melting and getting soft. Downhill toward Eagle’s Lake was a breathtaking view in more a forestry area but the trail was super rocky and several sections were damaged by the fallen rocks. Be prepared with a comfy boots, 2-3L of water and electrolytes, trekking poles could help and protect the knees on the rocky steps.
Overall great hike for both backpacking...
