This is the rock that the highway goes through via a tunnel on the eastern side of Tahoe. The hike is short, moderately uphill, very hot and sunny in the summer, but totally worth it! Once you get to the rock itself, it’s quite a scramble to get up to the summit, but it’s doable if you’re able to climb up boulders.
