My favorite Park in the Milwaukee area...It's just interesting, with so many totally different environments.. Has authentic pitch and put green, as part of the Golf course, and the club house is relaxed, like out of a 1920's movie... Then, just round the bend...a curved road takes you down, this steep road, to the beach, which is expansive, and sandy beneath the bluffs 40 ft or more above where the park is... There are multiple ways to get to the beach, pathways, and wooden covered bridges, that wind through a raven with a brook... There are many different coordinating areas, for Family reunions, And, people who want to get married, etc....Its all about escaping and living life....Far away and removed from our everyday life... Its so very large, you could explore it for days and then discover years later there's places you've over looked...The view of lake Michigan is breath taking, and then its next to the Southshore Yacht Club....The speed boats and skiers compete with the sleek sailors... It's a great place to get away for an hour, lunch, or for a day of it...I did it once many years ago, and now I'm just hooked...There is so much more I could go on for pages...You'll just have to see it to believe it...It's flowers, weeds, and rocks...it's nature that is still natural....and controled just a little to keep it well organised... Like I said. YOU'LL have to experience it....don't forget the thumbs up if you...
Read moreWould rate it 5 if the beach was cleaned and had animal proof trash cans. Both my fiancée and I walked as far as we could and found rusty metal, trash, broken glass, a needle that had been used and partially buried into the sand, a diaper which was disgusting but we didn't go for that. We went for the view of the Great Lake Michigan which was beautiful and every time that we go I am always in awe from how big it is and beautiful the scenery is. Even tho corrosion took the good chunks away in the form of land slides, nature still provided with beautiful scenery and you could actually see nests dug out of the cliff sides and a lot of just beautiful places to sit and watch the lake roll in with the waves and just relax. Gladly go again but I just wish that people would take care of the place...
Read moreGreat place to take the family for a nice walk in the park. Great trails along g the bluffs. Remember if you take your fur baby to bring poop bags. Lots.of people and no reason to leave that mess to spoil it for others... and there are lots of people walking with them. Last trip I watched a couple with their poochie... he was lightening his load and they were about to walk away... I pulled out a bag and handed it to them. They said no thanks. I informed them.that I had them on video and would follow them and report them.to the county Sheriff's Office. They cleaned up the deposit and we followed them right to the trash can 50yds up the trail. They made sure I saw that they put it in the trash. I responded wit, " Now that wasn't so...
