One of my favorite farms to visit during fall season!
We really just stumbled upon this place 2 years ago when we went to visit Buttermilk falls. Saw it as we were driving and the pumpkin patch was really eye catching as well and the ice cream shop being an added bonus. So happy we stopped by that time that we now visit often.
The place offers you very heathy and bushy mums for great prices and has become our go-to farm. Prices are higher now than two years ago of course but that is to be said for all other businesses. They also have an ice cream shop and flavors are delicious! The produce at the barn/shop are fresh and pastries are good. We love the banana bread there.
Aside from that, they are also kid-friendly with play areas and a little farm-zoo with chickens and goats that are just the cutest! They have picnic tables too, all sorts of colorful gourds, plants/flowers and our favorite is their huge pumpkin patch with very nice looking pumpkins from round ones to warty ones and funky ones!
They change the decor to their pumpkin patch every year and in the background there is this red barn far away that makes the patch even more picturesque. Great photo op area for picture-lovers like me lol
The only tricky part really here is when you are leaving the farm - The roads are quite busy and will take you a while to exit unless helpful drivers gives way and let you pass first. Otherwise, a very enjoyable spot for fall activities and...
Read moreThe place is very well kept and the property seemed well maintained. The pumpkins to choose from are in great variety and all the flowers and shrubs to choose from are beautiful. The ice cream here is pretty good as well. My issues here were the young heavy set kid at the register that I noticed was nice to certain people and rude to others. It was pretty obvious who he liked and didnt like based off how he spoke to them or how he didnt speak to them at all or how he would barely look at some while ringing them up. Pretty easy to notice these things when your waiting in line for 10 minutes. You shouldn't have someone like that at the front of your business ringing people up if you expect them to come back. Secondly whoever is making your pies needs to be careful and maybe shown how to make sure a pie is cooked through. I bought multiple pies from here and every one I purchased from you with the exception of one were undercooked and still raw. The Dutch Apple Pie made my family nauseous just after a few bites before we noticed...
Read moreI love Anderson's Farm - from their produce, flowers, baked goods, and ice cream I'm very happy to be close to their locations. However, this evening I had my husband go grab an apple jack frosty for me and my daughter. He arrived at 630. They close at 8 during the weekday - I just called prior to him leaving. No one answered but the message on the machine left the stores hours.
My husband got there. The lights were on, the girls were cleaning. I understand they want to go home early maybe but I would of never sent him knowing he would have to wait outside trying to get one of the employees attention just to be ignored for a solid 10 minutes. It's unacceptable to ignore a customer even though you may be closing early. Even a "sorry were closed" would have sufficed
He eventually left. So just out of curiosity did you change the closing time...
