Absolutely horrific experience.
there are no posted age ranges online for the playground equipment to reference before attending. Took my 3yo (who loves to climb and slide) to go play. There was no easy or "safe" way to access the equipment/slides without complete adult assistance. Even for a 5-7yo, the center column to reach the tube slide was not built or designed with safety in mind. If they would post in the main description online "5-12 on play equipment", we would have never come here at all. I understand catering specific equipment for certain age ranges, but this park is NOT inclusive for families with children of all ages. There was no equipment made for 1-4yo children, thus resulting in frustration and lack of enjoyment for my entire family. The MUD website says it "does not discriminate against any user of Bridgestone Park or the Recreational Amenities on the basis of age, sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, religion, marital status or handicap." this evidently is not the case in regards to age, as my 3yo was not able to enjoy any aspect of this park.
Many items on at this playground made my family pause for concern regarding safety. The central column was NOT safe for any age, or accessible by adults attempting to rescue or accompany their children to the large tube slide. There were no hard steps to assist climbing, and if slipped, would fall straight to the ground from 3-4 floors up. Would like to review the safety testing report for this feature and others. Even for the specified age ranges, there is no way we would allow any member of my family under the age of 8 to play freely on this equipment.
Overall: I was so excited to bring my kiddo to this brand new playground to enjoy. Instead, I had to carry out my child in tears, myself included, because he could not access certain aspects, even with me by his side assisting him.
TLDR: unsafe park not suitable for children...
Read moreWe love going to this park when visiting my parents , and honestly, it’s such a breath of fresh air — clean, modern, and really well thought out. It has everything: a splash pad, walking trails, a separate dog park, hammocks, and covered picnic areas with plenty of shade (which I appreciated more than I expected).
The play structure is beautiful, but also really tall. As a mom to a toddler, I definitely had a moment where I stood back, a little nervous watching the older kids climbing all the way to the top. It wasn’t that it felt unsafe — it’s actually super solid — but I wasn’t quite ready to let my little one explore that high up without me. So we stuck to the first two levels, and honestly, they were perfect for us.
She had the best time climbing, spinning, and swinging. There were even swings with handicapped accessibility, which I thought was such a kind and inclusive touch. The rock climbing wall was a big hit, and there were fun little details everywhere — seesaws, spinners, and lots of things that don’t feel cookie-cutter.
The splash pad was clean and inviting, and spaced out enough from the play area so kids can cool off without turning the whole playground into a slip-and-slide. And I loved how there were hammocks tucked away near the trees — such a peaceful spot to pause while your kiddo plays. We saw a few families spread out on picnic blankets and plenty of shaded tables for snacks or lunch.
It’s one of those places that feels like more than just a playground. It felt like we were outside for hours without ever getting overwhelmed. There was space to breathe, laugh, and just enjoy being together.

Read moreWent today for birthday party for grandchild. We were told if the tables at pavilion weren’t reserved we could use them. We set up two tables because there were no reservations. Workers saw us and ask if we had a reservation and we said no but we understood if no reservation then first come first serve. We were then told yes that is ok. We went ahead and got set up. Once everyone came and we started the birthday for the five year old, we were told they were closing the park and we had to leave. This was at 6 pm. Park doesn’t close till 9 pm. Yes it had been raining however the rain had stopped. We explained it was for a five year old. They didn’t care! It was so sad explaining why we had to leave when there was no other reason then workers wanted to go home . I don’t ever plan on going back. Park states it was created for the good of the community. Well that was not...
