Spring Trails Preserve — Attraction in Spring

This is a nice place to hike. It has many miles of natural trails winding through the woods and a very nice pond for fishing. There is access to Spring Creek, which is a nice place to relax and watch the cranes and heron fish, via the trails. My only complaint is that the maintenance staff have overdriven the trails in their ATVs. Came to see the Bluegill Pond "Mystery Mosaic." It's vague past is a riddle and likely dates back to long before the 1,000 acre master-planned Spring Trails housing community existed. For orientation, Bluegill Pond (and it's infamous mosaic wedged in the ground) sit on the edge of this 400-acre nature preserve. Area was beautiful, but ran into some coyotes that seemed to not be scared of humans.
