This is a nice place to hike. It has many miles of natural trails winding through the woods and a very nice pond for fishing. There is access to Spring Creek, which is a nice place to relax and watch the cranes and heron fish, via the trails. My only complaint is that the maintenance staff have overdriven the trails in their ATVs. There are several trails on which the low areas have been so rutted out by the ATVs, that they are now giant mud pits, some of which are totally...

Came to see the Bluegill Pond "Mystery Mosaic." It's vague past is a riddle and likely dates back to long before the 1,000 acre master-planned Spring Trails housing community existed. For orientation, Bluegill Pond (and it's infamous mosaic wedged in the ground) sit on the edge of this 400-acre nature preserve. Not much is known about the original owners of all this land, or why the community builders saw fit to leave fragments of this mysterious...

Area was beautiful, but ran into some coyotes that seemed to not be scared of humans. We were on the trail with our leashed dog, and suddenly a coyote started barking at us from about 100 ft away in the woods. Lots of parking. Take advantage of the Nature Center when it's open it's very cool. The paths are well maintained and are an easy walk. There is a playground on the opposite side of the lake, it's about a 10 minute stroll from the trail head. And by trailhead I mean the wooden walkway to the lake. There are miles of trails that lead to spring Creek.

Beautifully well maintained wooded and marshy area. So glad I came here on a run during a work visit I had to make. Very peaceful place to come and meditate and be with your children are going dog walks. Public bathrooms and water fountains available as well, and a small playground for children is here, too.
