Firstly, its very easy to find, its very close to the Galleria Mall or if you're coming a different way its very close to the Central High School. Its easily accessible (just be sure to go during the hours its open, as it does have a gate that they use to lock up to keep people out/trespassing). There's plenty of free parking and there are handicap parking spaces. This is a great place to come by yourself to relax/sit and meditate. Its also great to bring the family because it does have a playground and there are a good bit of pavilions with picnic tables to have lunch or have a big get together. You can use the grills that they have available, they're are free/public restrooms (they are clean)which are conveniently close to the pavilions and parking lot and they offer one building each for male and female. I love coming here for parties or different occasions. If you're into walking hiking, or biking, they offer trails for all of that. From the easy trails to the expert and advanced trails. The views are phenomenal. I especially love coming in the winter near Christmas because they have a Christmas lights set up that's really fun and pretty! Overall, even if you're not into fitness at least try and experience all this park has to offer. I come just at times to find a place in shade to read, picnic, meditate or just to take in the views. There's just something about being outside and in nature that leaves you feeling serene, gracious and happy. Plus, you're supporting your...

Nestled away from the urban hustle, the wooded park is a local haven that effortlessly captivates. As you meander through well-kept trails, a natural symphony of rustling leaves and birdsong surrounds you. Towering trees form a soothing canopy, providing shade and a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll or a rejuvenating hike.

What sets this park apart is its thoughtful design, incorporating a designated birdwatch spot that's a true delight for nature enthusiasts. Strategic clearings offer unobstructed views, making it an ideal perch for spotting an array of avian residents. Whether you're an avid birder or just someone seeking a moment of serenity, this designated area adds a special touch to the overall experience.

Scenic picnic spots are scattered throughout, inviting visitors to linger and soak in the tranquil ambiance. The fragrance of the woods, the vibrant hues of flora, and the cheerful chatter of birds create an immersive retreat. Families, couples, and solo wanderers will find solace in the simplicity and charm of this wooded park, making it a cherished destination for nature lovers and those seeking a...

This is a beautiful and peaceful park to spend a day or some hours. It is clean, safe, and calm. You will find here plenty of benches, pick nick tables, several kids’ playgrounds, a public restroom. Two overview decks open in front of your eyes beautiful views of the surroundings. If you are lucky, while strolling in the park, you might see rabbits, squirrels and hear a lot of birdies. The place was not crowded, however, I visited on Tuesday afternoon. Several large parkings are available in the area. I met some couples, parents with kids, dog owners and single hikers. I followed the “white” path, which went through the forest, it took me around an hour. The path was clean and not very steep, suitable for beginners. You find the map of the paths on the park’s website.

Overall, this is a beautiful place if you want to do physical activity in nature or generally rest from city noises, people, cars, etc., however, if you are a tourist and seeking something spectacular, may be you should pick...

A great place for mountain biking or hiking. Decent facilities and there are a lot of pavilions you can rent. They recently added a paved path that you can hike between the two major parking lots serving the park. When you are out on the trails keep an eye (and ear) out for mountain bikers. I've never had a problem as a hiker or a biker, but just be mindful they are out there. Most, if not all, are very deferential to hikers. They also have a padded play ground and a "natural" playground (think fallen trees that you use as a balance beam, sand pit, etc) that is really good for kids and remote control crawlers!
