I cannot emphasize how highly I recommend dan tech; like many of us, I tried to fix my computer issues myself to no avail; the cooler wasn’t mounted correctly, the motherboard and CPU were fried, and my pc was a complete mess. It was only my second time ever taking my pc in for repair, and the old place I went to, spartan computers, now had closed to nonbusinesses, so I thought I’d try out dan tech, and I have to say I’m glad I did and will be returning in the future for sure. The last time I had to get my pc repaired at spartan computers, it was just the defective cooler. It took them several weeks, and I constantly tried to get ahold of them to see where it was while dealing with sub-optimal customer service; I had the exact opposite experience with Dan. One of the nicest dudes I’ve ever talked to, and he constantly kept me updated on where we were with my pc; I had a bit of trouble finding where his business was (because I didn’t realize he worked out of his home) and how all of it functioned, being it was only my second time. I’m 18 so I don’t have much experience in all this. Still, he answered all my questions about how this will work out on his and my end. Not only did he fix my computer, but he also took the time to help me upgrade it as well ordering whole new and improved parts, giving me suggestions as to what I should upgrade, and constantly keeping me updated as to when what arrived, etc., giving me a consistent timeline. 100% more affordable than my previous experience; even though my repair was extensive and I ended up upgrading my parts, the service fees, and fees, in general, were much better than I’d previously seen; he was considerate of the fact that I wasn’t too knowledgeable and used that to help show me a few things involving what went wrong and gave me some knowledge on part brands for the future that I may have fewer issues with. With all of the ordering he did and repairs/replacements, it only took him three weeks to have my pc back to me, which is insane because of the typical order times and amount of work he put in; I can’t express my gratitude enough. Anything Dan is up to fix, I’ll be bringing to him. I called several places when one of the keys on my laptop wasn’t working and decided on Dan thanks to his flexibility (look at those hours!) and overall pleasantness. My laptop keyboard membrane had worn out in some places the entire palm rest needed replaced thanks to how my specific model was built. I could source my own used parts, but I trusted Dan to select it. The price was comparable to other places, and the turnaround was fast. It took a week or so for the part to arrive (not his fault at all), but once it did, I stopped off my laptop at a time and date of my choosing and picked it up the following night. Dan was out traveling for something, so his father let us in the workshop and talked about his own love for colonial antiques. It was fun, and I left with the impression that Dan is a good person doing something he enjoys and doing it quite well. Had about as good of a time you can getting something of yours repaired! 5 stars for sure!! My personal computer had been hacked by tech support scammers a few years ago. I needed to find a local computer repair service that I could trust, to wipe the hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows 10. Dan knew exactly which scam I was talking about, was familiar with the Lenovo home computer I was using, and confirmed that these were the correct next steps versus trying to clean the computer. I immediately felt comfortable that I had found the right service provider. But my story only gets better. Dan, who was crazy responsive via text messaging, allowed for me to schedule an appointment at my convenience to drop the computer off. I dropped the computer off on a Friday morning, and it was ready for pickup that same afternoon. (At a very reasonable charge I might add.) Dan ensured I had the Microsoft 365 links necessary to complete the setup of my computer. And literally checked in to see how I was making out, a few days later. I couldn’t have scripted a better experience. Just as important as having a good plumber and a skilled electrician, I now have a computer expert that I trust.
