The park itself is great. Lots of trees in our spot (#19). Laundry facility: 3 washers and 3 dryers. Washer was $2/load and drying was 25 cents for 15 minutes. Showers were good, but no ventilation or fan, so it made the "bathroom smell" a little much. Park is quiet. We stayed up until 1am around a nice campfire just talking and reflecting. It was wonderful. The only problem I've encountered was the volunteer host (Not Dave, but never got his name). We reserved it for another night with Sue, over the phone, while we were still in our spot. She gave us spot #1 for the following night. I noticed several of the campers from the previous evening were moving to different sites. It was so weird. Anyway, we were told to move to #1, so we did. After getting settled in, about 30 minutes later, Dave wandered over and welcomed us with a quick, but friendly conversation. Nothing was said about us being parked there. 10 minutes later the other volunteer approached and said I needed to move. "#1 is reserved for transients. You need to move to #12." 😐umm... okay... no problem. I was told #1, so we moved to #1. He had a difficult time believing me for some reason. I asked if I could wait for my husband to get back, as he just ran to the store to grab waters. He didn't seem to like that answer, so I said I'd move as long as we could come back with the truck to retrieve all our wood we unloaded. He told me "fine, but I needed to make sure I'm back at 1pm to pay." Of course I would (it was 12:30). We moved to #12. Get plugged in, awning out, set up. 20 minutes later we head down to pay and are told by Jackie that we need to move BACK to #1. 🤦🏽‍♀️ As we're preparing to move back to #1, the volunteer heads over to ask if we had made it up to pay. It was 1:15. Why? Why do I feel so untrustworthy? Because we're minorities? Young, mixed islander woman, Mexican husband, and a black dad? I don't like to think like that, because it's such a loose assumption, but I hate this feeling and the energy this place has brought. First night was amazing. Anything after has been everything synonymous with less than favorable. All that to say, I'd be back if I ever found myself in a pinch, but this won't be my first choice. Dave and Jackie are super sweet people though. No complaints towards...

I’ve spent quite a few days deciding whether or not I would post this review. And decided it’s honestly necessary. I’ll start with the pros. The sites are huge! Very well spaced out. Plenty of room between sites. Plenty of space for big rigs plus extra vehicles. It was great. Full hookups. Pull through and back in sites. The laundry room has 3 washers and 3 dryers and are fairly cheap to use. Two separate dog parks. And they’re also good size. Sadly. That’s where the pros end. 49 extra dollars a week if you have a second vehicle. My husband is here for work so his vehicle was only there overnight. Get done with a long day at work and want a hot shower? Awesome. I hope you can do it in less than 7 minutes because they’re set on a timer with a 5 minute wait before you can turn the water back on. You will also need to knock on the door of the camp host in the back in order to be let in. All the showers are locked. Looking for a friendly camp host and nice hospitality? Don’t. You won’t get it here. We stayed for the maximum 14 days and never even saw one camp host walk around. You’ll see them when you pull in to pay for sure though. And while they’re friendly enough, it doesn’t go much farther than getting you your site number and taking your money. On top of that, I’m not sure they’re enforcing anything other than making sure you leave. There were several cars coming in and out of the camp loop, sometimes going the wrong way and definitely speeding. The wifi works as long as you’re as close to the main camp host as possible (I’m assuming?). We started out in site number 32 and then moved to 23 for the second week. No wifi at 32, and just barely a signal at 23. While there is a trail that goes along side the river, all the bushes and plants and leaves are cleared from it, but not anywhere else. Thorny plants, bushes, trees, and leaves are everywhere. And just blown off the road in no particular way to try and keep it clean.

Basically. You’re paying almost 300 a week for big spacious sites and a nice dog park and that’s it. Nothing else about this park is great. It was convenient since my husbands job site was right down the road. But not worth it in my opinion. Nice for overnights or short stays. But I don’t think we will...

This park has a VERY popular dog park with 2 very large fenced-in areas for dogs to run around and play in. The park also has an RV park/campground located inside the park by the entrance. There are some nice walking trails that run alongside the MacKenzie River where you can do some fishing and/or rockhounding from the shoreline accessible at the back of day use area where there is also a boat launch. Rvs are not permitted inside the day use area leaving lots of parking available. The spacious day use area with a large grassy quad in the middle has picnic tables scattered thru out and 2/3 is surrounded by parking while the other 1/3 is where the river is. This seems to also be a popular cruising spot for guys thru out the morning and afternoon up until the park closes the gates to the day use area. Park hours for the day use area are Dawn to Dusk and they do shut the gates leading into the day use area promptly at Dusk after a quick sweep of this area by a park employee. The dog park is accessible 24 hours. The only bathroom is a portable restroom located by the building the physical restrooms are located. This park is not getting 5 stars because they have nice rest room facilities but do not seem to ever make them available anymore which is a bit odd considering the large amount of people that come thru this park on a daily basis. They do keep the grounds of the park in great shape, almost never a single piece of trash is to be found anywhere except in the dumpster where it belongs. The park has many large trees along the river and in day use area providing a natural setting as well as shade in the warmer periods...

It's a nice place to stay. We were in site 4. I-5 is not far, but road noise wasn't bad. They have showers and laundry room with lock code (I didn't use either) and restrooms that are well lit at night. You can also hook up to cable with 55 channels and 5 antenna stations. The only possible downside to being secure, there was a vagrant allowed to ride his bicycle with trailer through the campground. After he road through, he stopped at the check in both and the host allowed him to go through the dumpster. I'd be ok with the outside dumpster, just not inside the campground.
