I promise Im not AI 🤣🤣 Great place for a nice hike. Bring your dog they'll love it! But remember to pick up after them and have them leashed. The initial trail is a nice short jaunt but if you go deeper in and take the longer trails the scenery is spectacular. I almost feel like I'm not in the city anymore. If you go during the late summer/early fall (August/September) it's FULL of sunflowers and butterflies. You can hear a ton of birds and even frogs around the pond. The early spring/rainy season crayfish will come out of the pond. My fiance and I found out about it a year or so ago and have been...

This is an Audubon forest.Trails are well marked and maintained. The one thing I wished they had was a small tower to view the pond and open area. The grasses and low brush make it difficult to see over. Though the office opens around noon you can still walk the trails in the morning when bird activity is high. This small forest in the middle of Springfield is a treasure...

Was there for a wedding. The site has adequate parking for a small party. The conference room we used had a bank of floor to almost ceiling windows so we could enjoy the many birds feeding at all the various feeders just outside. Acoustics for speaking were very good. Facilities (bathrooms, kitchen, etc.)...
