We had a phenomenal time. This pool is very clean for a public pool. There are activities for every age group - a ankle deep wading pool for the littles, a water park style shallow play pool with a giant mushroom fountain for the kids, a pretty decent water slide, a wave action pool that really has a lot of energy to it, and a lap pool with a sectioned off play area. The adults can generally have a lane to themselves for exercise. There are tubes and life jackets in ample supply for free. The lockers are secure and cost a reasonable 50 cents. The showers are consistently warm. The water in all the features is the perfect temperature. There are life guards EVERYWHERE which I love. There is a decent snack bar that is reasonably priced (no movie theatre gouging). The bathrooms are clean. The water is very well maintained. Certainly a high but acceptable amount of chlorine. There is a playground out back. There is a patio for nice days, but lots of tables and seating around the indoor pool for the rest of the year or for those who want line of sight on their swimmers. There is plenty of parking and reasonable space in the lot to maneuver. The prices are very affordable for locals and families and acceptable for out-of-district visitors. We will definitely be back. You can't buy more fun than this...
Read moreI read and researched 'splash' the water park in Thurston last year and promised myself if I get the 'one pass' this year that I would go. Well I got the lane county 'one pass' ( which is another review itself) I took my two youngest boys and I am so glad I did! From the front desk to the attentiveness of the life guards I felt welcome and safe. The atmosphere was down to earth and the wave experience was great. The slide was a bonus the line moved fast and the ride was pretty fast and fun. My youngest son is 6 so I had to stay by his side. I was concerned for him at the bottom of the slide but he could easily stand up as after we entered the pool. Child friendly hot tub. My boys kept asking for the snack bar, the food smelled great, but I will try it next time. They had these lounge areas for rent that looked pretty cool if you have a larger group. They gave us a free token for a locker and they had men's, women's and family space. Outside there was plenty more to do. Awesome park, dog park, walking path, and outdoor picnic area that looked pretty large for gatherings. Great time I will be back. It was packed but like I said the people are pretty chill and...
Read moreWe love splash. I went there as a kid and absolutely love taking my children. During the school year the hours reduce. They are usually still open for Rec swim on the weekends. During the summer they have two sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There is a small, shallow kiddie pool with a small island and small water features. This pool is warmer than the wave pool. The wave pool is decent size and goes to about 7 feet deep. Off to the side of the wave pool is the small pool with the old mushroom waterfall, now a jelly fish. There’s a decent size slide, a lap pool and a hot tub for individuals 16 and older. There are four family changing rooms, wheelchair accessible. Theres a women’s changing room with showers and lockers as well as the same for men. Theres a decently priced concession stand with pretzels and cheese, Costco hot dogs, chips, nachos, snow cones, candy and soft drinks. Outside there is a dog park, a very nice playground, two bathrooms and a covered area you can use with propane grill set ups...
