Was really hoping to get to experience the greenhouse(s) and other possible fun things inside. But it may be off season (or maybe thatโ€™s not a โ€œthingโ€). The Frog and the Toad exhibit in the adjacent space was fun though. And tulips were in bloom. We came too early for many of the other plants and flowers though (early April).

This is a large park with something for everyone in the family. I love the large old trees. The baby geese are fun to watch.

It's actually a really beautiful park, but the roadways are confusing as hell, one ways, don't enter... So that needs to be improved and the parking though adequate is so far away from everything it's painful especially when it's hot. No bathrooms, no water fountains. Also very few benches with no way to sit down and eat. Basically, this park needs to be updated but there is a pavilion it is a beautiful park there's a lot of ducks and geese and wildlife it's a gorgeous near a pound, it's just not convenient if you're a human and if you're getting older especially. But compared to other parks in the area it's safe.... Probably cause it's not set up for people. But it's worth a trip if you're...

This was my first time checking out the Botanical Gardens in Springfield! Seeing the vast area of gorgeous flowers, ponds, walkways, the Dole Park 'n Chill and it's gelato snacks were refreshing, seeing the Thomas Hall Carillon, the Conservatory, the legacy gardens, and seeing the Little Angel statue made everything worthwhile. When the weather's cooler (and less humid), I'm definitely visiting this park and explore more of what has to offer! Side note- I walked from the Oak Ridge Cemetery to Washington Park Botanical Gardens after exploring both the old and current tombs of Abraham Lincoln (Quite a distance, but I got a lot of walking in during...

Washington Park Botanical Gardens in Springfield is a true gem! The walking trails are perfect for a leisurely stroll, winding through beautifully maintained flower gardens. Such a vibrant display of colors and varieties. It's a wonderful place to escape the city bustle and find some tranquility. Plus, the shade from the trees provides a welcome relief from the summer heat. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area and looking for a peaceful outdoor experience. The gardens are so well cared for and offer something beautiful to see in every season, making it a fantastic spot to reconnect...
