Beautiful place to visit by the river. Has nice shaded space. Play ground has full sun. Veteran memorial, Pavillion rental awesome size holds 200 people. Bathrooms with running water. Lots of parking space and has a boat landing to the river. Picnic table in shade areas. I think there are some grills too.

This is our first time at the park. Even though there were a few sprinkles and overcast our dog had the best time ever. We highly recommend and will definitely be going back again. It's about 40 miles from our house but well worth it. Not to mention super inexpensive at only $2 per dog.

Nice park to walk in and get away!!! Very wooded with a river that flows through it! Lots of different paths to choose from! They have bike friendly paths as well! I've been there twice and both time there wasn't to many people it was nice and peaceful and secluded!

There are like barely any street lights in the park or the surrounding neighborhoods except on Wilson Ave. I attended the fireworks with my two daughters and so a couple friends whom we ended up separated from and my daughter had to use the bathroom after we waiting in a crazy long line to get something to drink after the fireworks and my phone did not save my parking location like it said it did.. and I will admit I was beyond dumb enough to wear a cute dress and wedges but on the walk to the fireworks I admitted to my group how much I regretted my choice of shows... But by the end of it all me and my 2 yr old daughter and 5 year old daughter and my anxiety got lost on these dark streets that we're almost completely clear of people leaving the fireworks and I can't see the best at night to top it off. But these streets were so dark that the police whom passed us while we tried flagging them down... They couldn't even see us. I got to a point where my feet hurt so bad and I felt so lost that we just huddled in someone's yard and cried while I tried to...

Update: My original review is 3 years old. After a long break from it, we've come back to this park a few times, usually with play groups. We haven't had any other issues, though I still try to keep our visits to the earlier times of day. We've enjoyed our trips every time since!

The playground itself is very nice, but there are too many trashy people. I have seen babies left alone in cars with dogs inside, and today a large, mentally handicapped patient (appeared to be an adult) shoved a toddler off of the jungle gym. We all hurriedly packed up our children while watching three adults trying to restrain this individual. It's such a shame that it feels so unsafe there, because if it were in any other location, it would be an...

I use to really love this park until my dog got sick. I am convinced my dog got blastomycosis from this park. Sharing this review as a warning. My dog and I have never EVER been up north and the only possible place she could have gotten it is from this park. My dog sadly and tragically passed away from it. It was devastating. I will never bring my dogs here again. This park is filthy and it’s a huge risk for your health as well as your pets health to come here. DO NOT LET YOUR DOGS COME TO THIS PARK, PLAY IN THE WATER OR DIG. I urge any and all dog owners to look into blastomycosis and educate yourselves. It is a horrible horrible disease and there is no...
