St. Louis Public Library - Baden Library — Attraction in St. Louis

I wouldn’t even give this location ONE STAR but I couldn’t leave a review w/o one. This is by far THE WORST LIBRARY I’ve ever been to IN MY LIFE ! The security guard is sitting at a table on his phone. The librarians are loud and talking catty as if they are on the Today Show. There are children running around cursing like wild animals. A group of unclaimed dogs are walking around the outside of the building. Last but not least it smells like a DMX and Busta Rhymes concert in the 90’s. I’ve never been so frustrated with a LIBRARY in all my life. This is giving SAINT LOUIS VP FAIR or something but it’s definitely NOT A LIBRARY! I even talked to the manager who was OUTSIDE with a spring dress and timbs on during all the chaos of the failing location. She tried to tell me that all of this behavior was perfectly cromulent...

I would appreciate our flower bed at the entrance being utilized throughout the year. It's already a blighted area, we deserve the same landscaping and flower bud planting as regional and other neighborhood locations. 3 stars because its been neglected for a while. Do better BADEN

I have the best library in the world! I've been to the library of congress, but its not better than the Baden Library. I've been to libraries with huge and luxurious meeting rooms and furniture, but its still not better the than the Baden Library. What makes the Baden Library so special? I'm glad you asked. Its the people. They greet you when you come in. The staff help you whenever you need help. I'm 57 years old and I had to tell them that I hadn't seen this level of community and customer service in years. I had been out of town for a few months. My card had expired and I got a new card right away! I got it today and was able to use it today!...
