This place is horrible! Don't bring your family here in any way!!! The walkthrough the well maintained trails, the views of the river, the pathways giving you a very long walk that is unpaved by the river and the solid connection to nature is horrible if you're trying to hold on to all the stress you have in life. It forces you to relax against your will. Gone is the pent up frustrations of the daily work life and the demands of your supervisors. That oh so coveted feeling of being a minion in the daily grind of life will be ripped from your heart as you travel these pathways. Do not go here. And you'll also keep it nicer for those of us that want it but not being...

Loved this trail and so did the pups! Lots of places for the dogs to swim and tons of room to run and chase a ball. We explored the trail until the end (private property) and we walked about 4 miles total. Easy trail, but some loose rock areas and in February there was lots of mud. Would recommend waterproof boots with tread if you’re looking to go down to the water’s edge. A quiet, relaxing walk where the dogs were able to burn off a ton of energy and we met so many friendly people and dogs along the way. We saw a mated pair of Bald Eagles and watched them snag fish from the neighborhood pond. It was...

A great free fun way to spend time with family!!!! Beach area is very limited so if you want to stay on land get there early. Lots of people just plopped their chairs directly in the water or just stood near the water wall. There are fish actively jumping so you could go fishing, but the real fun is jumping off the wall or the rope swing. If you have a floaty, bring it. We even saw on couple using an air mattress. A short walk up stream a little with your float and you can float down to the water wall and see the...

This place is beautiful! Unfortunately all the snow we've had that is now melting is making the Boise River at flood capacity so the river walk is actually closed, however there is still a short little walk along the river to the right of the river walk and the scenery is still worth checking out. Hope the photos help! The one picture with the log in the water with trees is actually where the walk use to start and the bridge you see was where that water is now.

This is a beautiful park on the Boise River. So let me jump to why I can't give it five stars: The trails were covered with horse refuse and there were a lot of invasive, poisonous plants lining the trail. I think people cleaning up after animals would go a long way as well as weed control for the noxious weeds. Park goers beware: there are no restrooms here.
