I was going to leave one star but on the day of the wedding, Ryan was very very accommodating and the wedding turned out beautiful.
I noticed that SWH responded to my initial review with more lies. We were told there were 150 outside chairs when in actuality, the day of, we opened a door and they were 50 other chairs that we could have used for the wedding. Their contract stated that if they had to set up chairs and tables, in an extra reception area, it would be $40 per table and one dollar per chair. They wanted to charge me $500 to set up a small reception area, outside. Their contract did not state that, whatsoever. I finally had to hire a lawyer to interpret the contract for me!!! Their occupancy load is 225 but they donât explain that that is with bodies only, not with tables and chairs. I just felt like it was a smoking , hot mess. They had a Layout on their initial paperwork that they gave us that were not the layouts they offered when we went to set up. I do want people to know that the contract that I signed with the previous owners was not the same contract that they have now, with the current owners. The owners of still water Hollow caused a lot of undue and unnecessary stress. They even called me 13 days prior to our wedding, and asked for a $500 cleaning deposit which was not part of the contract. The chair situation is very confusing, the indoor versus the outdoor chairs. I just Felt like they price gouged me every step of the way. There was dishonesty about how many chairs were actually available.
All and all it is probably the most gorgeous setting in the Treasure Valley but the customer service of the previous owner and the new owner was absolutely deplorable. We were there viewing the property and deciding where things would be set up and I remember that Mr. Bauer came up to the barn and without even saying hello began yelling at us about the doors being open. I could not believe that someone working with us, when we are spending that kind of money, would actually treat us in that manner. It is an absolutely...
Read moreMy fiance and I were so excited to have our wedding at Still Water Hollow on June 5th of 2020. When COVID hit, we knew we'd have to make some changes or postpone the wedding. Working with the owners of Still Water Hollow was a nightmare. The options given for rescheduling was any date available within 90 days of our original date or any Mon-Thurs within a year of our date. There are multiple reasons those are terrible options (ex. within 90 days COVID most likely would still be present, a year out most dates already booked as this is a highly sought venue, etc.). We did not understand why if we had already paid $5,000 and an unforeseen PANDEMIC is the reason we would have to be flexible why we could not choose any available date to postpone. In addition, I have heard from other brides that their booking rate increased for next year and if you rescheduled for next year you would have to pay the difference! I understand that during this time many businesses lost money, but it was incredibly frustrating and that Still Water Hollow was unable to accommodate customers who had already paid in full. We opted out of using the venue that we had already paid for and instead went elsewhere. Still Water Hollow does not care about it's clients and only cares about money.
Response to owners: I never stated you cancelled on us. I never stated you were uncommunicative. I never stated our conversations via email were not cordial (although your response to this review seemed to be defensive and unprofessional). I stated the options you gave correctly, and we have the right to the opinion that they were not satisfactory in these circumstances. If the rescheduling options had been laid out in the contract for that would take place if unforeseen consequences had come up we would not have signed. Hindsight is 20/20. I just wanted to flex my right to give our experience...
Read moreWe had an amazing wedding out at Stillwater Hollow. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. My couple had a little ceremony inside the church, cocktail hour on the patio, and dinner set up on the lawn.
Communication was fantastic from Stillwater Hollow from the get-go. We had a pretty clear idea of what was included and what we could do for our set up.
Also, they do require you to use their on-site Bar Service, raise the bar, and they were absolutely fantastic to work with as well. They did a great job verifying everybody was of age and they never was a long line at the bar because they had enough staff to serve and keep the line moving. That was nice because it was one less vendor we had to find and bring on.
We had plenty of tables and chairs, and our guests also appreciated the on-site bathroom, which meant we didnât have to bring in an outside service for that.
The chapel is air-conditioned as well as the inside barn where the bathrooms are and the bridal suite and the groom suite . I mentioned this because it was fantastic to get our hair curl and our make up done and not worry about getting too warm.
The pond was clean, and the fountain was going, the flowers were in full bloom, and everything looked so beautiful .
We really appreciate appreciated having somebody to text on the day of in case we needed anything, but they had us all set up and we knew what we had to take care of to clean up at the end of the night
This is a really beautiful property that includes so much which minimizes the outside vendors you have to bring on .
As a coordinator, I really enjoy this venue because everything is pretty close within walking distance and accessible for anyone with mobility concern.
If youâre looking for that fairytale setting, this is your place! We...
