I saw Hall & Oates here. What a nice place and a great concert! š They need more choices for food though. I went with my brother and we were in early thinking would be able to get something to eat before the show and all you could get with fair food. Meaning pretzels, chips, bratwurst and things like that. When I asked if we could get back in if we left to go have dinner and then come back they said there was no re-entry into the concert even though we had our tickets!! :-( I kind of get that because of security these days but then on the other hand if you're paying over $100 for ticket to see a concert you should be able to leave and come back in! It was warm that day and then suddenly got really cool actually quite chilly and I was talking to a lady who was wearing shorts and a halter top she wanted to go out to the car to get her blanket and her jacket. Security wouldn't let her go and come back in and she paid almost $200 for her tickets!! That just doesn't seem right. So maybe some things to think about for next season. :-) that would be more food for people to have dinner before the show and also being able to go back to your car at least after you've gone in to the concert. I can remember being a little girl I grew up on Millar Rd. 5 houses off of Utica Road at 16 mile I distinctly remember Freedom Hill being created. We used to have BBQs in the backyard and be swimming in our pool and we could hear the music from the festival's on the weekends it was wonderful! I remember all the neighborhood kids we all rode our bikes to watch the airplanes being installed we were all so proud! My uncle was and Air Force fighter pilot and I used to make believe that that was his plane. Lol. I remember when they finally built a "REAL" bathroom all of us girls were so excited:-) because now the girls didn't have to run "ALL THE WAY" (maybe 2 blocks) home to go! Lol. The boy's had it easy...lol Well I got a lil carried away here...šā¤ September 11 always has this affect on me!! Maybe I will drive thru the old neighborhood today. āŗšŗšø ok I am done. Thanks for reading this and take an extra minute to be nice to people unlike yourself today!! šŗšøšŗšø GOD BLESS...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat place!!! But the woman in the pictures (employee Maria) shouldn't have a job!!! She constantly waves people to her section and let's them sit there even if they don't have seats there!!! We went to the bathroom and SHE GAVE OUR SEATS AWAY!!! We had been sitting there since before the concert even started!! And yes they were our purchased ticketed seats!!! She did this to many others around us.... sheathed tries to get you kicked out by security of you complain!!!! Other staff members stated she does this ALL THE TIME!! our friends that sat next to us told her we had just gone to the bathroom...our drinks and shirts were on our seats..she stated "oh well their not here now" reallly??!! She gave away the seats behind us when the actual ticket holder went to get drinks. She did this to numerous people. Spoke with management ( dark blue shirt white haired male) he didn't care...told her to stop but it continued all night... security told her to stop also. ....
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty good outdoor venue with room for many booths and stalls durring events. Entry was quick, the speedy security staff had people flying in.
Prepare for a long line at the bathroom durring intermission periods. When I was there, they thankfully had port-a-potties set up in the back to help move the line along, but it might take a bit of extra planning and preparation if you're someone with a weak bladder (or someone who plans to have a few extra drinks š)
Drinks are also something to prepare for. A can of Budweiser (tall) was priced at $13 and even a simple water bottle was $5 at the stands. The vending machines on site were "conveniently" shut down in order to push sales at the stalls. Prepare for $50 to only get you 4 beers which is the main reason I knocked off a star, for charging Disneyland prices at a local...
