BRING FAMILY BACK!!! This park would've gotten 5 stars if Steubenville had cared about or taken care of it. I have been in Steubenville for 3 years and have just found out this town has a Real park. And this is it. This is the kind of park I was amazed Steubenville didn't have, because Everywhere else does and other places' parks even have Family hiking and other Family events. Some people still enjoy nature at its finest and this park definitely has that! GOD IS GOOD!!! Now, if the people at parks and recreation would realize how great beatty park is, and possibly clean it up a bit... such as the burned out shelter at the 'end of the road' (literally because the place is past a bridge that's crumbling)...maybe clear a couple of the paths... You can see the Former glory of the structures that are still standing. It's a shame that Steubenville has let its greatest gem go to waste and rot... it won't stop me though, it's still the only Real park anywhere near here 😪 CLEAN UP AND FIX UP YOUR ONLY PARK STEUBENVILLE!!! BRING...

I first started coming to Beatty Park about 13 years ago when I moved to Steubenville. It was a bit rough and neglected. There wasn't much play equipment and what was there was outdated. At the time I lived on Lincoln Heights and it was convenient to bring a toddler out. I quickly fell in love with it because it was peaceful and serene. I loved the old stone stairways and not being from the area would imagine how the park use to be. As time went on I discovered the pavilions and some overgrown trails.

Over the last few years they have really been working on transforming this old park. It has a lot of history to it and there is information around the park telling about it. Play equipment has been updated, trails have been cleared and labeled, new benches placed around, disc golf courses cleaned up and they are working on restoring bridges and other structures. It's one of my favorite places to go hiking with my dog and I don't have to go far at all. There are community events periodically in the park which I...

I gave this park 5 stars, but the truth is, it deserves 100, now, if people are not reviewing it on the beauty of it , then I don't know what the rating is on. It's like Heaven on earth , it's a secluded, beautiful place, where you can reflect and love nature, but I suspect, that people are rating it on the garbage that others leave behind, diapers, plastic ( all assassins of planet earth that do not disintegrate) that shouldn't be so though, because the park has huge garbage can availability, and people throw garbage into the creeks, in the woods, they throw it by the places they park , on the Ground by a garbage can, but they won't pick up trash, diapers, cups, cans, , plastics, this is nature, how can you possibly do this? This is your park too, this is our planet! Plain and simple, don't be disgusting, clean up after...

While driving through Steubenville, our first time ever, we were led to this great park. I just love to find gems like this! Lots of gorgeous stairs that lead to the heavens and beautiful stonework! Tons of gorgeous areas for photos!

Beautiful park that looks to have a lot of history. There is a nice park and play area for kids. Kinda small but better than nothing. Also, there are many nice, maintained long and short trails
