Small Farm — Attraction in Stow

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. We arrived with our leashed and well behaved service dog in training (wearing his vest) and as we were walking near the tent (not even inside) where they sell vegetables, we were told by the woman in charge that even though we had a legitimate service dog, she wanted us to leave because they were selling food items. No dog was allowed anywhere near where their garlic and zucchinis were being sold! I explained that legally, we, in fact, should be allowed access; and are allowed in restaurants, for example, but that we would not stay if we weren't welcome. She tried to tell us we could walk the dog somewhere behind a wall or a barn, but our point was to buy some flowers or veges, not to hide out with the dog. When she made it clear our service dog in training was not welcome (in violation of all ADA regulations), we left. Please do not frequent a place which ignores laws intended to protect the disabled. Small Farm has fresh, very clean produce from their gardens nearby. I was impressed there was no dirt clinging to anything. Even crisp baby romaine lettuce looked as if it had been washed & dried. Bag of beautiful arugula equally clean & crisp. Gorgeous tender young carrots were sweet & cute salad turnips...which I didnt know existed...were mild & an alternative to radishes; small, white & round like golf balls! (I should have taken photos!) Best to be there when they open the stand as things go quickly. I didnt get as much as I'd hoped because I was a noon arrival & possibly too early in the season. Produce not cheap but superbly fresh, tasty & well worth the money. I will go back & also enjoy the ride along the winding road there thru the rolling...

Found Small farm when I needed a lot of garden flowers for a church gathering a few years ago. One can't beat the price and since you cut them, the flowers are really fresh and pretty, The owners of the farm are terrific and actually encourage you to fill the container they provide.
