What a great walk. This place is really close to town, and extremely easy to get to. The parking is easy, and the trail guide was worth reading. The trail itself is really well maintained, and can be walked even by children. I went during a spring melt, and from the moment I stepped out of the car, I was met with the sound of a running river. It was so peaceful, and beautiful. Not far from the lot, only .75 miles, there is a gorgeous waterfall which you can see from above, and up close if you're a little more adventurous in your walking. I would definitely recommend this as a place...

Great trail, with easy street side parking at the trail headed. Not too crowded, even in peak leaf season. Well maintained path that goes by a picnic area, over a few bridges and to a nice wood area overlooking a series of waterfalls. Will need to get off the path to get a closer look at the falls but multiple spots to see different views, with some caution needed with the kiddos towards the edge. Much less crowded compared to the main path on the other side of the river. Could easily do in...

Another one of stowe land trust trails, the mill trail is mesmerizing during the foliage season.

In fact, all stowe land trust trails we visited in the area have been great. They were wider and better maintained than the state and national parks trails we have been to. In addition, they are free of charge and thus provide better value for those looking for easy to moderately difficult hikes.
