This place has the potential to be a 5, but there are a few issues.

The good- There is a nice kid's playground, plenty of fishing spots, Frisbee golf course, a nice walking trail around the park, kayak rentals that are in newer condition, nice covered areas to rent for large gatherings, as well as large and small dog fenced in areas.

The bad- There are many weekends during the summer where there will be what I can only describe as "inner-city parties" that play rap music so loud you can hear it at all ends of the park. Rap songs screaming the N word repeatedly around your toddlers and small children isn't the ideal weekend at the park. It's extremely inconsiderate, but it happens often enough to remember and nothing is done about it even though park rangers constantly patrol the area. There's also a putt putt course but they have not done any upkeep with it from what I last saw. 2 or 3 of the regular dog park goers have no idea how to discipline, train, or correct their dogs bad behavior, so if your dog is the type of dog to stand up for themselves and put other dogs in check with their bad behavior, expect to be blamed for it by the local idiots. They seem to think that 3 combined low IQs being slightly higher than your own individual IQ, that they are in the right and don't understand that 3 idiots are still 3 idiots. Many people know their dogs by name and talk about them behind their back, and then the 3 idiots talk about others in their little social circle standing on their imaginary pedestal. I suppose it's somewhat amusing but it's had me going to a different dog park for...

I hope to go through and upload some more pictures of this place soon, because they do not do this place any justice. This place has almost everything one would ever want out of a park. Paved walking trails, pavilions, multiple fully functional bathrooms, multiple parking lots throughout the entire park, picnic tables, barbeques, putt putt, playgrounds, large pump swings for adults, disc golf, pedal boats and other boat rentals, dog park, fishing, tennis courts, sometimes soccer goals, and im sure im missing some other sports. They even have a concession stand to sell snacks and drinks sometimes at the putt putt place located in the middle of the park.

Also every once in a while you might get to see a Goodyear Blimp land or take off from the hangar across the reservoir. This park carries some history as you may see some {{GIANT MONSTER TRUCK TIRES sticking out of the ground you can climb on inside the park.}} At one point in time this park was Goodyear's (Rubber) personal private park for their employees. They then gave it to the park system a little over a decade ago. Thus why there are so many amenities. It was literally designed to appease as many "tastes" as possible. In fact, I know I'm missing some things here and really encourage any nature or park enthusiasts to travel here one day to enjoy it for themselves. It literally has a little bit of everything and is very very...

I used to come to this park as a child back then it was a private park for Goodyear employees my uncle was one of those. 0 My grandpa worked in the blimp hanger and explain to me and took me in when it was raining inside and my uncle brought me here and let me have fun and appreciate the beauty of the lake along with the woods and the trails and such The only issue I have is that there are not more benches placed throughout the park for the handicapped and why on God's green world! In the dog park. On the large dog side. We used to be able to go to the dock/water. Our dogs could go swim. Se cou6 throw balls for them to fetch. And y'all decided to take out something good. And put a bench inside of a tiny shed with a mini library box next to it. Chairs were lined around it. What does that have anything for a dog? If someone 9yo bring their child in to the park. She should have brought the little one something to play with of do. On the small dog side there's a gate In the back near the water there's a picnic table on that side and your chair on a mini concrete dock. So we can see this beauty but we cannot go and fully enjoy it we can just look at it because there's no way to get to it. Please someone tell me what is the...

What a wonderful State Park over 700 acres with many diverse areas for all ages to enjoy. Everything from fishing, picnicking, hiking, miniature golf, paddle boats, archery range, a large dog park area, also a very nice play area, and playground for children. The playground equipment could use a thorough cleaning and go over for routine maintenance 11/15/2024 Several different pavilion areas with plenty of picnic tables and benches, with some overlooking the water and plenty of grills throughout to have cookouts with your family and friends. The bathrooms are all clean and stocked. So many well-kept trails to walk, hike and explore, wrapping around the picturesque wingfoot lake, and you can even spot the Goodyear blimps hangar across the water. My favorite part of this park with my granddaughter is Storybook Trail, with its ever changing story boards posted along the trail and the free little library cupboard where you can take a book or donate one for taking at the entrance.
