I have been coming here for about five years and had a great experience every time except this last time. Unfortunately I will be looking to find a new place to go after this.
Typically coming here is great. They have an amazing staff that is busting butt to keep up, especially during gun season. Somehow they still have the best attitude I have ever experienced and are always willing to show the customer what they are buying to ensure a great experience. I have also always had great cuts and meat from here.
However this last experience and a complete lack of any sort of apology has prompted me to write this review. Usually a deer is done within a few days during archery season. Specialty meats tends to take a few weeks but still done quickly. I dropped a deer off January 23rd I believe and ordered sticks to go with it. We ended up shooting another deer the next week and dropped it off as well with a normal cut with instructions that we would be picking them up together to save us from driving twice. We were told no biggie.
On February 8th I called, no answer, and left a voicemail. They said, "finishing up the sticks."
I called back a week and a half later wondering what was still going on and once again had to leave a voicemail. The reply text was, "We are still working on those sticks."
Days continue to go by, so I call again. This time the voicemail is full. However they did have enough time to send some attitude, "We are trying to close for the year are you picking up your deer or not." As if we weren't trying to call, facebook, text, smoke signal Duma for the past month!
Finally on Feb 23rd, a full month later, my deer was done.

Read moreI dropped off a deer on 12/7. I was extremely pleased with this operation and thought that I found my new deer processing place. It is now 12/30, and I still have not received my deer. I paid over $300 to get this deer processed into primarily Smokies because I give them out to my family and friends at Christmas. One of the owners of the company, last name Duma, checked me in and assured me that I would receive everything before Christmas. When you call up there, you are unable to speak with the live person, so I left a voicemail. I eventually received a return call on 12/28 and was notified that the reason my deer has not been completed is because they ran out of certain ingredients for making the Smokies. I find this reason is just an excuse at this point and Dumas made zero attempts to reach out to me or communicate with me about the delay. I would have easily chosen a different flavor just to get the Smokies in time. I really regret paying for the entire deer when I dropped it off. In my opinion, this might be a big reason that I haven't received my deer. And paying over $300, is over $100 more than I normally spend to get all these smokies, but I was so impressed with the operation, I originally thought it was worth it. However, I'm deeply saddened that I'm not able to hand out Smokies for the holidays and unfortunately, I will never use this...
Read moreFirst time customer here. I'm 39 and have been to several businesses in my life. From the moment I walked in the door, I have never felt so welcomed to a business. They were extremely patient and explained every detail for the process. I've never felt so comfortable at a place. Got the meat back, by far the best jerky I've ever had. All of the meat is clean, packaged very well, labeled, and definitely by the amount I received, they did a great job getting everything they could from the deer. Every single person in the building was very nice and professional in every aspect. I had friends who have used other places on a regular basis, and now are Duma customers starting this year.
