I happened upon this quaint Aviation museum as I was traveling through Illinois and could not resist stopping to take a tour. I have always had an appreciation for the military so this was a cool experience to be able to walk around and view the various aircrafts (BONUS: you can even climb completely inside a few of them!!) The tour is self guided so you go along at your own pace. They do provide an informational sheet detailing the various aircrafts, which was useful. There are also tons of mini replicas on display of military planes and some memorabilia from the various wars and branches. The volunteers were a pleasure to speak with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit

Just go!!! This is a FANTASTIC little gem in Sugar Grove, Illinois. The P40 was the main reason for the visit, but we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of other aircraft on display. They're currently only open Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm. $10 for adults(18+), less for seniors,students and children.

Great place to take the kids. Nice exhibits and you can even go inside a couple of the planes. One of the Vets that volunteers there noticed my daughter was excited about the seeing the planes and gave us a little private tour full of interesting stories and facts. We loved it.

It was such a great place to visit. So much to explore and learn about the aviation industry. Kids and adults will love this place. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. All of them they were working in the AF.
