Shiv Mandir of Atlanta — Attraction in Sugar Hill

Finally Atlanta area has a beautiful Mandir for Shankar Bhagvan. This temple has come up beautifully after countless volunteers and non stop efforts of community leaders (Titiksha and Dhairyam), in a perfect location which is convenient to all. You feel the divine vibrations as soon as you enter the temple premise. Even though located on busy PIB, there is complete peace and silence that one feels one with love of Bhagvan. You are greeted with beautiful garden, beautifully designed temple which is extremely neat and tidy. As you reach the upper area, Bhagvan's abode, you can hear the divine bell outside and the ever smiling Priests, performing puja. This is the residence of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Throughout the week/weekend there are various pujas such as Rudrabhishekam on Monday morning and evening, chanting of Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays, bhajans, Mata Chowki, Havans that keeps us engaged in the divinity and mindfulness. There is aarti in afternoon and evening as well. The Hindu Kids in the area volunteer in various groups and capacities. The young and energetic, President of the mandir, is ever present at the mandir, weekday/weekends, smiling and extremely helpful to all and ensures smooth operation of Mandir.
