Memorial Park Veterans Memorial — Attraction in Sugar Land

A touching memorial to Americas veterans and one recognizing local heroes. The Sugar Land Veterans Memorial is situated along the water adjacent to the pavilion area and features a touching tribute to the US Military and local veterans. It recognizes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard on each side of the impressive monument made of grey. Each is embossed with the respective service and faces the service seal. Inside the touching memorial is inscribed the names of the lost.

At the entrance walkway is the dedication sign with updated information about the memorial. Once you cross the short bridge you see multiple benches and a fluttering flag for the memorial.

You can walk around and into the memorial- inside you will see the names of the heroes recognized.

Worth visiting for this alone though the inviting park makes it an enjoyable afternoon.
