According to Greene County P&T SPRING LAKES IS NOW OPEN! "Thank you for your patience as we made the necessary repairs at Spring Lakes Park. The park is officially open and ready for you. You may notice a beautiful new dock available for use as well! Spring Lakes is a pay lake, stocked once a month. Currently we are stocking catfish. Get your permits (daily or yearly) below." This is a hidden gem of a park. The lakes are lovely. The fishing looked good, but it takes some sort of special permission to fish there. There is no play ground equipment but there are picnic tables. Be sure to avoid the cement trucks as you drive back to the park. July 2020 update...this is open and it is easy to maintain social distance. I always see people fishing. I like the ducks and geese.

Very nice hidden park. Clean and grass cut. Fountains for the water were broken and the bait store closed for covid. Lady was riding a horse around the park. Lots of catch and release fish in the pond . Fishing by paid permit only. Wild flowers grow and wild turkeys as well as duck and other wld like were all around. YOU must cut through the truck washing area for the concrete company to get in there.

Took a group of seniors here for an outing to go fishing. Nice and big stocked pond. There is plenty of space to spread out. There were 3 lovely volunteers to help us. They had some bait for us to use. Spent about 2 hrs, and 3 of the seniors caught a fish. The entrance is a bit deceiving. The entrance road to get to the lake is between a cement business.

Spring lakes Park is a nice county park that is located behind a concrete company. There are a couple of drawbacks. First, the count charges to fish in the ponds. $10 per day or$30 year. This is an additional charge to a state purchase if you have purchased from the state. A state license is not required, but the county license is in addition, even if you have a state license. Second, there are a lot of people that fish in the evenings. At times, it can be nearly shoulder to shoulder. There are a few pluses. The ponds are"stocked". However, there is no apparent schedule of when that occurs. There are restrooms on premises and they are well taken care of. Key point - go fish, have fun, you will...

This is a nice park for walking but the fish rarely bite. The last time I was there I picked up 3 nasty masks and there was another one stuck in a tree that I couldn't reach. It was heartbreaking to see that people had tossed their trash, more heartbreaking to see people actually wearing masks out in nature hundreds of feet away from other people. I did meet a super nice (and wise) man named Paul while I was there. I'll go back but I'm taking a trash bag with me. Side note, restrooms were open which was a pleasant surprise for...
