Head Viking Rich, definitely has a unique talent and special skill set. He's not only mastered his craft but he's very passionate about it to go along with the personality to connect with everyone that's walks through the door.

1. It's nice that the owner (Rich, 2nd in charge to the wonderful wife as we would expect) goes out of his way to approach every customer and make every effort in making you feel like you're at home and comfortable.

2. It's a pleasant feeling to talk with and understand Diana's (Truly runs the show and keeps Rich in check because nobody else can) mindset and overall passion of the business.

3. It's a very impressive gift that Sue (Shes simply awesomeness) has to be able to remember all the little details about the customer to make them feel important and very special.

This is a unique atmosphere that fits their style. It's definitely a must to stop in and experience the craft, atmosphere, and the 3 stooges personalities. You won't regret it!!

I’ve had good mead ,great mead and mead make me wonder where was my weed ? This Ironstone vanilla mead was firmly grounded in the great category . It is easy to screw up Vanilla ,this vanilla infused mead was absolutely on point fruity fragrant very nice body and a truly inspired flavor balance . It was on the higher priced category but well priced for the quality and taste ( if you want hammered grab an olde English 40 ) if you want a premium experience sitting with family or offering hospitality to old friends grab some of this to have on hand . They are physically located in Edinburgh, I have not been there in the flesh , but after having it ,I am open to a road trip to experience more of his products . This would be one of the few places I was impressed enough with to leave a five star review. The owners were both wonderful people who take such pride in their work and truly engage their customers. The atmosphere was fun and engaged my nerdy side with subtle harry potter, skyrim and lovecraft references. Beautiful artworks on the meade which is par none. Ive been to world famous meaderies such as bunratty castle and so far ironstones eldergods and blood of odin stand tiers above the rest. The staff allows for sampling and has fun promotions if you spend a certain amount (at least while we were there) and adds a personal touch. They support alot of other local businesses and use the old world style of brewing meade. All in all I give them a 5 only because 6 is...
