A fun stop with a small, casual wine tasting bar. A bit off the beaten path, this wasn’t overly crowded and they had a lot of different wine varieties. We were able to speak some about different wines and what makes them special. Overall, a nice experience worth the stop and a bottle.

Tasting is set up outside, not the most convenient, but it works. Wine is well priced, service polite. We picked up a couple bottles of wine. Worth a stop if you are in the area. We drove 35 minutes out of the way to get there, probably would not do that again.

I was beyond happy with my visit! Every wine I tasted was wonderful, and my boyfriend felt the same way. The setting is gorgeous- including the old barn- and I can’t wait to go back. Don’t miss this hidden gem in Pentwater!

We just left. It seems the person working was overwhelmed and extremely rude.

Reply:

The problem was definitely not me, your (lost) customer. We absolutely understand staffing issues and we are extremely patient customers. We had just left Pere Marquette winery, where we had to wait our turn (about 20 minutes). We didn’t mind the wait at your place either, as we were walking around and looking at the roses and your grounds. As another car pulled into the lot, we stepped up to the ordering bar, and asked for a tasting menu. The reply we received was, “you people need to wait your turn, I’m helping this guy first”. We certainly weren’t looking to jump the line or disturb anything. The rudeness and tone were just too much for us to stick around. Maybe when you see a complaint you might try to address it instead of blaming the customer, as you did in your reply. This might be closer to the point of what...

We have been enjoying Jomagrha Wines for over 12 years! Visiting the winery is a highlight of our trip to Pentwater. My family, including adult children, purchase 6-7 cases each summer to take home to Illinois and Wisconsin, and of course some to enjoy with beach dinners. The Jomagrha tasting room is quaint, and clean, with a good variety of wines to choose from. John or Harry are always helpful in explaining the process and what type of grapes go into each wine. The older wines are consistently delicious and there are always new ones to try. Prices are reasonable for a good bottle of wine. Well worth your time to stop when...

Just opened our bottle of wine (gamay noir 2016) that we purchased when visiting this amazing place in July and it was just as good as the first visit! I believe Harry assisted us and was so knowledgable about the wines. You could truly tell he loved what he does. The grounds are beautiful. This definitely an off the beaten path vineyard that you should NOT miss if you are touring the western coast of Michigan. I cannot day enough good things. Can’t...
