If you like history like I do and hiking, this is the place to go. It is also a great place to pull off the road and have lunch in your RV or bring your own. The views are awesome and there is an information area that has pamphlets to teach you about the area. It is in the middle of the desert, so it is definitely a destination point or you can see it from the highway and turn off to drive directly to it. There are nice restrooms and a Host on site. Be safe and stay on the trails. Also, make sure to take water to drink as it is very warm in the Summer. 07/01/2017: I'm posting some new pics! This area was once covered in water. The terrain isn't too rough if you decide to take it easy. Otherwise, there are plenty of opportunities to climb over rocks and search for lizards if that is your desire. You'll see plenty of small animals from lizards to jackrabbits to birds of prey. I recommend wearing sunscreen since the area is very exposed to the sun and shade isn't readily available. If climb along the back past the fence, you'll eventually come to a point you can't go any further, but you will discover a cool...
