It is truly fascinating that science can't explain what is going on here. It is truly one of earth's mysteries. This place is a small hole in the wall, watch where you are going or you will miss it. A dirt drive along the side of a hill, parking for maybe 10 or so vehicles, lane narrow enough for 1 vehicle. The owners are very welcoming and the gift shop is well maintained. The history is very interesting as it begins around 1894. There is lots of information out there about the mine and its history. The gentleman that told me the history the day that I was there did an amazing job. The ice mine itself is also very fascinating it was blistering hot outside the day I visited but once you step inside the ice mine it is incredibly cold and all of that ice spewing out is amazing.
