This was my first time at the Cinebites event and overall, it was ok. I think the experience could have been better and I'll outline why.
When bought the tickets, there was no indication as to what was on the menu. One of the people in my group has a nut and shellfish allergy, but there was no where on the ticket purchase screen to note this. Normally, reservations would have this option to make sure they can prepare ahead of time. I took a chance and hoped they would ask this when we arrived.
We came as a party of four to the Lady and the Tramp movie and the event was listed from 6:30-9:00 but doesn't mention when the doors would open. We arrived at 6:15 thinking that we could sit down and use the facilities before the movie started, but the doors were locked and there was no sign. Several other customers did the same and I assume they were under the same impression. Would have been helpful in the email communication to let customers know when the doors open so they aren't arriving too early and having to wait.
When we sat down, the hostess let us know it was open seating and to not leave too many gaps, which is fine, but their setup was not exactly couple friendly. Each table could seat 3 people and since we were a group of 4, the 4th person had to sit in the next table, which felt a little disconnected. One small popcorn bag was placed for every 3 people, so if you had a 4th person in the group, they would have either shared with the group they came with or with a stranger. The menu was on each table, there were no ingredients or allergy mentions. The menu looked standard and the dishes listed don't typically have any shellfish or nuts.
There were no announcements made when everyone arrived and no one to greet us other than the hostess at the front. We waited for a while and then at 6:52 (not sure why it wasn’t at 7:00 instead), the movie started. Once the movie started playing, we noticed immediately that the speakers on the left side of the room weren't working. It was hard to hear the movie the rest of the night and I'm not sure if this was just a technical issue that day.
When the food started arriving, we had one dish that had almonds and we had to ask the server to send it back because of the allergy. I asked if there were any more items on the list with shellfish or nuts, but they seemed confused at the ask and didn't know. This could potentially cause severe reactions and the Cinebites teams should take this in consideration. Luckily the salad was remade and no issues came up.
When the movie was done, the staff came out with a microphone to thank everyone for coming and then had a parade of the staff. It was cool to see those that worked there to make things happen that evening. Now knowing they had a microphone, it would have been nice for them to welcome guests in at the beginning and given directions to those who have never been here before.
While I know this is not to the same level as the other Movie and Dinner events out there, it was something new to try out and nice that Utah has...
Read moreWarehouse 22 is located at a great location but that's about it. Trying to contact the owner as well as working with the owner is very difficult, please proceed with caution. When we originally booked this location the owner and I came to an agreement on cost and services and this was all paid in full, unfortunately I paid with my credit card so the owner had it on file. After the event happened the owner decided to charge me extra charges without my consent or reaching out to me to tell me why he did it, I noticed the extra charge on my credit card and reached out to find out why. The owner was rude on the phone and when speaking over the phone he hung up on me and did not answer when I tried to call him back. The reasoning that the owner charged me an additional cost was he said I invited more people than what we agreed on, this is false and I have photo/video proof of this because we had a lot of vacant chairs and had less people show up then originally planned. The other thing that is false is we only had the amount of chairs I paid for out on the floor so that's also impossible to have more people when we had empty seats.
I would like to say the location is great but that is about it, the food they offer is not well made and doesn't have any flavor, they didn't really have good descriptions or photos of how the food was going to turn out so this makes it very difficult to know what you are getting.
Overall I would not recommend this location to anyone and would look for another...
Read moreWent to Warehouse 22 for a Valentine's Day Dinner event. WOW! we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, service and after dinner variety show. First, they had set up areas for photos. It was so cute and I love our photos. You just took them with your own camera/cell phone so no charge there. Social hour was really nice. The tables were decorated perfectly. I know this because I do this a lot and getting the decor right and not in the way of the customer is not as easy as it looks. Food, it was a buffet and normally I do not like buffets but this one was so good. The personnel working the food line were on top of it... I mean really on top of it. They kept it all hot or cold, clean and full for the patrons coming through the line. Atmosphere was really cool, don't let the term Warehouse mislead or deter you. Then the servers removed the plates. They had gloves on, were especially careful not to overload their arms and returned promptly for the rest. All clean and like they hadn't touched a single dirty dish. Then the show! WOW! Pop'in John, pop dancer, John Stringer, comedian, Mr. Doug Roy, Magician/Mentalist, Danny Morgan, Fire Dancer and Brendan Perko singer and song writer. All were really entertaining and the whole evening was so fun and full of life. We even met a former 'VOICE" contestant who was in the audience! Thank you Warehouse 22 for making our special evening one...
