I love Owen's Beach, I always have. I've been going there for 30+ years, ever since I was little. It's changed so much over the years, but for the better. You can rent kayaks, there's a shack where you can buy food and drinks, an abundance of restrooms, picnic tables, a grassy area to sit and have the kids run around, hiking trails, hills the kids can run up and down on, a little playground for the really little kids, a nice path to walk up and down on, and of course the amazing view of the Pudget Sound. It's a great place to relax and spend time with friends and family. Oh, and if you see the big teepee mad out of logs, my daughter and her classmates from "Beyond the Bell" program built it, and it's really awesome. 💯👌🏽😊🤣

A wonderful location in the heart of the Tacoma City area. Plenty to see and do with the occasional odd wildlife. The updated area has been wonderfully redone. Major downside is parking so come early or be prepared to walk. It does tend to get very crowded here, especially when it's really hot out.

Hosted a brunch for the day after my sister's wedding here and it was top notch! Location is so beautiful!!! We hired a coffee cart to make drinks for everyone and the weather was good to have one of the garage doors open for the party to mill about. Love this location and the City of Tacoma was easy to work with. Their staff person on site was super helpful and...

Easy access for all family members regardless of mobility abilities. Various picnic areas at shaded tables, in the grass, beach areas, or playground surrounds make this a great place to spend the day. The kayak rentals, consessions, paved walking paths, and clean permanant restrooms round out Owen's Beach. My family will definitely be spending...
