Hiking to Fall Branch Falls in Cherry Log, Georgia, was one of those experiences that leaves you feeling refreshed and connected to nature. The trail was just under a mile round trip, and while it had a few roots and inclines, it was only a little challenging—just enough to make me feel like I earned the view at the end.
As I made my way through the forest, I was surrounded by towering trees and thick clusters of mountain laurel and rhododendron. Birds chirped overhead, and the breeze carried the fresh, earthy scent of the woods. The path was well-marked and shaded, making it a pleasant walk even in warmer weather.
I began to hear the sound of falling water before I saw it, and that gentle roar pulled me forward with anticipation. When I reached the viewing platform, the falls took my breath away—two tiers of water cascading over smooth rocks into a cool, clear pool below. Read moreWhat an amazing find in Blue Ridge! A short, easy 1/2mi hike up to a beautiful view of the falls. The path can be hilly and VERY rough so be sure to wear appropriate shoes. Once up there they have a great little overlook for those who don't want try to walk up the slippery rocks to the top of the falls. You can also walk in the water, even the dogs loved it. The walk back down to the car was much quicker than up lol but would absolutely go again when we visit Blue Ridge. It's definitely off the beaten path. As the locals shared, just keep driving - you can't miss it and they're right. Definitely add this to your list of...

If you’re looking for a beautiful, serene trail , look elsewhere. Luckily we went to the Toccoa River suspension bridge earlier this day which was gorgeous. Just...
