The Island (Chocorua Lake Conservancy) — Attraction in Tamworth

A really nice spot for couple hours to enjoy at a less crowded lake during summer. Water is shallow and its very cool at sunset, the lake is reflective so thats an interesting part of it to enjoy sunset. There was plenty of fish at sunset hours but as its shallow it might be tricky to catch them. Swimming in it was really fun as the water was clean and warm. Plenty of parking but it can get little shady after dark so be careful as its next to highway. Overall cool spot...

On the way to Long Island, I stopped by a serene, clear lake where around a dozen people were relaxing. Some were sitting in camping chairs by the shore, while four or five swam in the lake using float rings, and a few boats were on the water. I enjoyed two deliciously sweet peaches and apples by the lake. Next time, I will swim...

Attempted to fish from here on a Summer morning from 530am to 830am. Water is very shallow and warm at this point. No luck catching anything, even after waking out to waist level and casting.

Nice spot, but not sure it’s viable for fishing. Scenery is great. Beautiful area. Looks to be some OK hiking.
