The owner was downright rude! Granted all 7-8 tables were full but no excuse to act like she was so stressed out and busy that customer's we're a nuisance. This was our first time there. There were wines on a menu and also more wines on a huge menu board above the bar. There was no way for us to know that not all wines were available. She mentioned to my husband that the wine slushy was made with Delaware. Delaware being my favorite I asked if I could order the Delaware, since she mentioned they obviously had it, she said they were bottling it. She didn't give me a second to order another kind. She spoke, didn't have time for my response and ran off to a table. Came back to the bar where we were seated and bypassed us several times. Asked if I wanted something else and I tried to ask if the pink catawba on the board was available. WRONG THING TO ASK! She grabbed the paper menu in front of me, flipped it over and sternly said " we only have what's on this menu so find one you'd like on here to order! " and walked away again. She came bacK, after going to other tables, with 2 bottles and asked if I would be interested in either of those. I said "No thanks! I'll just take a glass of the Niagara!" because I felt bad not to order something. We had 1 drink each and left. I don't care if there were 70 tables instead of 7 or 8, you don't act like you are in such a tizzy you can't handle everything! Wineries are supposed to be layed back and relaxed! Short staffed I can totally understand and sympathize with, RUDE and no patience I cannot! I'm very easy to get along with and my husband is the calmest nicest man ever! Our almost 3hr drive to try a winery on my list of Ohio wineries I want to visit was terrible! First time I've ever left a bad review in my life! On a positive note ... there was a lady named Michelle that was helping out for the night and although the owner wanted to be the only one to pour the wines, Michelle was very very nice! Michelle...

Yesterday was my girlfriend's birthday and we visited the winery to celebrate. As soon as we entered and sat down we felt very unwelcomed and like a nuisance to the staff. The staff was very short and rude and we have never experienced that the multiple times we have been there in the past. My girlfriend inquired where the knowledgeable warm friendly woman was at and she stated she works during the week but I am the owner and I can help you then immediately walked off before we can make a request. We ordered three bottles of wine (one for there 2 for home) and our friends also purchased one. My wine glass was removed from the table one time and they attempted to remove it multiple times when I still had a bottle on our table. We were excited about trying their BBQ/Pizza and myself and a friend waited outside the food truck about 5 minutes in advanced and the male owner seemed annoyed we were waiting early even though I assured them that there is no rush and that we are just there to beat the crowd (we've never tried the food so we didn't know how crowded it would or would not be). Once they opened we placed an order for 1 pizza and 1 BBQ. When I requested ranch dressing on the side the owner made a snide comment about Ohio Pizza and ranch with their pizza and was rude about it when a simple "No" would of sufficed.

This is hands down an awful experience with the only saving grace being that the wine is good which is the only reason the review is 2 stars and not 1.

In the past my girlfriend and I always dealt with the lady that works on weekdays who is kind and always professional and never had to interact directly with ownership. This experience has made me view this Winery in a completely negative way and I will probably visit some of the other local winery's in Central Ohio and I am not sure we will return here. Before we enjoyed coming here but now I feel that...

I was really surprised by two things, the first of which being that wine from Ohio could be SO good, the second being the fact that it's right around the corner! We had such a great experience with the wine tasting that I had to say when we were closing our tab that they are not charging enough for the flights! Extremely high value. Especially for the price, I can't see how anyone could complain. Everything we tasted was amazing. The ciders were very unique, and the iced wine was something I've never even had before (highly recommend the peach). I am sorry to say I've never been before, it should be a landmark that everyone around here can be proud of. Also a very cozy environment. Very beautiful setting, and also very clean. There are simply no complaints that could be had, unless you have bad taste in wine and hate cider. More than enough variety to ensure something for everyone. The cheeses were also amazing! A "hats off to you" is definitely in order for the wine and cider maker. We definitely plan to go back. It would be awesome to host an event here. A truly...

Nicole, one of the owner/operators took very attentive, genuine, friendly and personal care of myself and my girlfriend when we went using a Groupon for the first time. Her husband was like a little sneaky ninja assistant coming through unexpectedly to fulfill our cheese board and to-go cider needs as well before we even knew that he knew we were waiting on them! The beverages are so much more excellent in quality, taste, smell and appearance than other local wineries I have tried and prices are quite reasonable. They were flexible when I had to alter my reservation a couple of times as well. We felt like it ended up being a blessing that we didn't go until winter as less busy seemed to mean super-personalized attention and experience early on. I have already purchased another Groupon to return with a different friend I enjoyed the experience so much!

We LOVED Manchester Hill Winery! This cabin was so cozy, clean and comfortable. A short drive to Hocking Hills State Park. So many nice little touches… the big claw foot tub was great to soak in after hiking all day, and all the bath products were provided… nice plush towels too! The bed was big and comfortable. Light breakfast items were also provided. Lots of outdoor space for bird watching, and the fire pit was great. We had a great view of the Milky Way! Patrick and Nicole couldn't have been more accommodating, and the complimentary wine tasting was a very nice touch. The Blackberry wine is incredible! We very much enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing, romantic getaway!

Shared a bottle of their "elegant" Cab Franc with the husband. Lovely! We've been visiting local wineries and while all provide great environments, the wine here is our favorite. It's a smaller venue than the other two, so more intimate. We will visit again as it is less than 20 minutes from home, offers great wine, friendly, knowledgeable staff and owners, and an inviting setting. Outdoor seating available if real spring ever gets here.
