Dollar General — Attraction in Tavares

Upon entering the majority of the aisles were cluttered with stock waiting to be put on the shelves. I saw a young, pregnant woman leaning up against the shelving down one of the aisles but thought nothing of it and continued to the area that I had come in for. As I went to the front to checkout, there was a long line and an associate was assisting at the self-checkout. When several customers asked why he wasn't working the open register, he said it wasn't his register and that the person on that register was in active labor and in the restroom. We asked why she was there if she was in labor and he said that she was to be on maternity leave the day before but her district manager Jennifer told her that if she didn't come in that she would be terminated. Both associates were also told that if all of the stock was not put on the shelves by noon the following day (and the dm wanted pictures sent to her) that one or both could lose their job. These are the conditions the employees have to work in. DG you need to do better. And DM Jennifer, either get the GM there to assist if you are short staffed and if there is no GM, GO HELP THEM YOURSELF AND STOP HAVING UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS! This is by far the worst location and it was my favorite. This lady Faith is illiterate. I have been doing couponing for years. She rudily while I was ringing out at the self check out because there was no one around to be found, she came, turned the computer screen around and canceled my transaction. She said she doesnt know how my deal came that low as if im stealing or finessing the system. She told me I could not do multiple deals but i had a coupon for $5 off cat food and $5 off because its Saturday and she said I can’t do...

The majority of these stores are so dirty with dust and debris. They keep it way too warm so I usually cut my shopping a lot shorter than I normally would. I don't like sweating when I'm shopping. Some of the employees are so rude and ignorant acting it makes it a miserable place to be. It doesn't have to be that way and I wish dollar general would teach these people better on how to treat customers or at least hold them responsible for their actions. Other stores...
