Save yourself the stress!!Not the person to leave a lengthy review but this is worth the read. The end of February I tried to call to get some information for a wedding my fiancé and I wanted to have there. I heard this was a beautiful place for a wedding so decided to give it a thought. I called and called, no answer. Last time calling, left my name, number and email. A day or two later I called again. Finally got a hold of someone, I spoke with a woman named Walley who answered questions and said she had my email written down on a sticky note(so why didn’t she get back with me idk) .Sent me an email with the wedding packages for me to look over. I emailed her some questions which took DAYS to hear back. I tried calling again for a few days and still no answer. She never offered to let us come take a tour. I did ask if I could meet in person to go over some things which she tells me “the banquet manager is on vacation through March 10th, I don’t have any time for you to come in”. So we look over the wedding package, sent our guest count, was supposed to receive a contract, NEVER received a contract. I heard from Walley last Thursday asking for the ceremony time. I responded Sunday or Monday with the ceremony time. I never heard back. Save your time, save your money , save yourself the stress.I now have a BEAUTIFUL hall and secured my deposit. I never received an apology, and I will certainly let everyone know that the communication, and professionalism is NOT there. Go some where else for...
Read moreMy husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on June 24, 2023. We were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating all of the staff was during our wedding day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the food was delicious and how they loved talking to our bartenders. The venue also accommodated some of our guest's dietary restrictions and our bar menu.
We planned our event with Debbie. She was helpful and organized. She couldn't make it on our special day, so Nancy filled in during our rehearsal and wedding day. Nancy was also very helpful, accommodating, and kind.
The ceremony space was beautiful! It included an arch with white flowers and greenery draped over it.
Our only complaint was how hot the reception hall was. Some of the guests said they were comfortable with the temperature. It was a very hot and humid day outside. The building is a little bit older so it was difficult to regulate the temperature.
Overall, the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our package included two entrees at the buffet, a wedding cake, table linens, and bar. The price was perfect for everything included in our package. The location is close to the airport and great for having a ceremony/reception at the same venue. We couldn't be happier...
Read moreThis course gets two stars from me for the layout. The design of this course is nice and it is maintained pretty well. The problem with it is the way it is managed. I agree with Mr. Hatcher. No rangers unless you are looking for a retired gentleman that is emptying trash and collecting returnables. Took my wife and I over 5 hours to play 18. This should be unacceptable by any golf course standards. It is these types of courses that are destroying the game of golf. After our 5+ hour round, my wife and I went into the pro shop to say something. The boy working at the desk just stood there with his eyes wide open and his mouth open. Completely dumbfounded by our words. Never responded to us, never offered an apology. Actually never said one word. We left, never to return. Word of advice. . . It is not just the quality and condition of your golf course, it is also how you manage it and treat your customers. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE UNLESS YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO...
