We came on a Saturday in the summer and there was between 40 to 50 alpacas at this ranch. The sweet owner gave us a tour, which was basically on this side are the males and on the other side are the females, while sharing some of her knowledge on these beautiful creatures. They do not seem to be afraid of humans but they do not like to be touched either. There is a tiny gift shop where the tour ends where you can buy items made from the alpacas on the ranch or skins of their fur. Make sure to bring some cash for donations! Read moreThe owner was very friendly! I didn't make an appointment but when I called they were happy to open up and give us a tour of the area. A few moments later an entire group from the airforce base came and we were able to join their party. The guest asked a lot of questions and the owner was informative and happy to share about her animals. They all had names too! Plus... if you don't want to pet and feed the alpaca there is a gift shop with a variety of great items...

Trudy was more than happy to introduce us to the animals and teach us all about them. The gift shop has an array of toys and soft clothing made from alpaca wool.
