Central Texas bark park and the lions dog park listed on google maps are the same place. Still a beautiful park. Separated sides for small and large dogs and the park has a great .25, .75 and a 1.25 mile trail clearly marked on the park map. There’s a huge playground from what I could see and PLENTY of open fields and parking. The restrooms that I saw along the trail did not look very pleasing but then again I didn’t go inside and there may be more over by the baseball field side. Overall beautiful and fun park for anyone!

Central Texas Bark Park is a free public dog park located in Lions Park. The bark park is separated into 2 areas. One area is for small dogs 30 lbs and under. The other area is for dogs over 30 lbs. Each area is similar with obstacles, benches, pet waste bags and pet water fountains. The bark park is very nice. In the morning the small dog area has about 50% shade due to the large trees. Unfortunately a lot of people are not picking up their dog’s waste even though free bags are provided. Definitely worth a visit.

SHOCKED! ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS! UNKEMPT, DERELICT, and in DISREPAIR are all adjectives that actually understate the horrible conditions you will find in this dog park. Not landscaped, broken equipment, water fountains don't work, dilapidated and broken-down down fences...sinkholes! The government entity and the people in it who are responsible for this park should all be fired, but in the best of all possible worlds MUCH WORSE ACTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN!!! 😢😖😢😖😢😖

We like going to the dog park. It is a great opportunity to play with other pups and stretch our legs. The park is split into two areas, one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs, but the areas share a common fence. It has shade and some agility equipment. The grass is not always mowed and many owners do not pick up after their pups, even though the city provides baggies and a trash can.

Most of the dogs are well behaved and most of the owners are attentive to their pups, but there are some dogs who are not well behaved and owners who dont even go into the area with their dogs, choosing to sit outside on the benches instead of monitoring their dogs.

Overall it has been a positive experience, but we have chosen to leave because of a particular large aggressive pack of dogs have attempted to push under the fence to get to my pup and the owners were not concerned.....instead saying, "if they were in the same area, our dogs probably would not be trying to get to your pup." I'm sorry, but growling, snarling, baring teeth is definitely not encouraging me to let my pup play with yours. If you know you dogs are dog aggressive, you shouldn't be bringing them to the park.

Just a word of caution......but other than that one pack of dogs, all the other doggies...

Love taking my girls here. Never had any issues although I don’t take them to the dog park area. I like to sit on the hill and let them run around they stay near me. I have a pitbull and she is the sweetest girl but I do get stares from the people walking on the path down the hill or the occasional person that picks up their ankle biters fearful my dog may hurt them lol even though I also have a little dog and she is the alpha in the pack. My pitty is the omega and submits to all dogs she meets by rolling on her back. Pit bulls are judged constantly but I will forever stick by her side and promote...

My dog and I like the park. The listing for Lions Park dog park is this park, that one should be removed. Two fenced areas, left side under 30 lbs, right side over 30 lbs. Fence could use some maintenance, there are small holes in a couple places. Good shade on the small side, limited shade on the large side. Water bowls are usually around but bring your own just in case. There are some walking trails in case your dog gets bored. Obstacles for training are available on both sides. Benches for the humans while the dogs socialize. Friendly bunch of regulars come to the park so your dog can get to know...
