EDIT: seems like they got new soccer goals, im not sure if theyre there to stay but they look nice. The only thing i wish this park had is a couple basketball courts with shades. It has the space next to the soccer fields
Used to be my favorite park because of the soccer field, but now there is only 1 full size working goal frame. There used to be 4 until 2 of them got replaced with smaller kid goals (acceptable) and I dont know what happened to the other big goal. When we got there last night the big goal was taken, but all the small goals where flipped so people couldn't use them. Read moreLions Park has been around a long time. It's a great park. They feature a very well sanded picnic Pavillion that can reserved for events. They have a covered children's play ground. A dog park for large and small dogs with an obstacle course. Plenty of parking. There are bathrooms available. There is also a large soccer field and four large softball fields that regularly host tournaments and league softball games. Read moreThis is a nice dog park. There are 2 big issues. 1 is every dog park. Owners need to pick up after their dogs. It's not fun. No one likes it. But if you left the dog park without picking up poop you're part of the problem. Owners get distracted, but if you don't see your dog poop then pickup up some other poop, because you missed yours. Every dog poops there. 2. The water is broken. This is pretty inexcusable City of Temple and Temple Parks. You only need 2 things for a good dog park. A fence and water.
